Capital Campaign Update Restroom Renovation and Back Parking Lot Repaving We are very pleased to announce that we have almost reached our fundraising goal, thanks to the generous monetary donations and mosaic wall tile purchases by our parishioners. The total cost for both projects is now estimated to be $155,000. So far we have raised $148,000. We hope to raise the remaining $7,000 needed for our two projects by the end of this year. These improvement projects have become possible because of your support, but we still need your financial contributions. We also have a few remaining tiles available for purchase to memorialize a personal note of prayer or thanks, memory of loved one, or your favorite bible verse on our church wall. Any gifts of $100 or more will be specially recognized on a plaque in the vestibule of our church. Thank you, and may the Lord continue to bless you and your family. SAFEGUARD THE CHILDREN Children and Youth Programs implemented throughout the Archdiocese of LA Every year, students at Catholic elementary and high schools, religious education, confirmation and youth ministry programs in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles receive age-appropriate child abuse prevention and reporting training. The Empowering God s Children Program is designed for Kindergarten through 12th grade students. This program teaches children and young people to understand appropriate and inappropriate boundaries and gives them the tools that empower them to take action and report if they feel uncomfortable, scared or confused. More than 1.4 million students have attended these programs since 2004.
