First Presbyterian Church Neenah, WI

Welcome to Worship at First Presbyterian Church Neenah, Wisconsin We are grateful for your presence and invite you to participate in the life and ministry of our congregation. If you are new to First Presbyterian, please identify yourself by wearing one of the red roses found in the hymnal rack. We ask all present today to sign and read the friendship pads as they are passed down each pew and returned to the center aisle. This is an opportunity for us to know and greet one another by name at the end of the service. We invite you to join us for coffee and conversation in the hallway outside the Church Office after the 8:00 a.m. service, and in the Church Parlor after the 10:15 a.m. service. Childcare (infants and toddlers through 2 years old) is available throughout Sunday morning (7:45 a.m. 11:30 a.m.) in the nursery located next to Fellowship Hall. You are welcome to keep your infant or small child with you in church. If your infant or small child needs care or becomes uncomfortable during the service, you may leave and return as you wish. The audio portion of the 10:15 a.m. service can be heard in the chapel where you and your child are also welcome. Children are invited to pick up a worship bag and a Bible as they enter the Chapel for the 8:00 a.m. or the Nave for the 10:15 a.m. worship service. Please remember to return the worship bags to the stands and the Bibles to the shelves when worship concludes. Wee Worship: Following the Time for Children children ages 3 years old through the first grade may leave to attend Wee Worship, located in the preschool room next to the library. Wee Worship is a developmentally appropriate sequence for worship that involves gathering, listening, thanking, and wondering. It is designed to allow children to know and experience God in a setting that is similar to a regular service but geared toward the young child. The Greeters are Deacon Gary Webb, who will be at the Doty Avenue entrance, and Elder Howard Kidd, who will be in the Cloister. The Ushers at the 8:00 a.m. service are Liz and Steve Landig. First Presbyterian has a hearing loop for hearing aid users equipped with T-coils. Brochures explaining this new feature are available in the pews and on the information desk outside the Church Office. Large print hymnals and bulletins are available, please ask an usher. 1

Mother s Day Blanket Program... For more than 50 years, the Church World Service Blanket Program has helped in making life more bearable for those who have been affected by disasters, as well as those who just need a warm place to lay their head. Your Blanket Program Gifts Make a World of Difference by.. purchasing and shipping blankets worldwide and within the U.S. providing shelter materials. supporting a variety of self-help weaving and sewing projects through our partner agencies. Because they buy in large quantities, Church World Service can provide a good wool or cotton blend blanket for every $5.00 you give. When possible, blankets are purchased close to the scene of a disaster, to speed delivery and to spur local economies. HONOR YOUR MOTHER Sunday, May 12, is Mother s Day. Our Presbyterian Women s Organization suggests a special way to recognize your mother by purchasing a blanket for Church World Service in her honor or in her memory. Blankets are $5.00 each.
