This church has been recognized by Lifeway Christian Resources as one of the outstanding churches in America. Jim is a prince of preachers, his sermons are expositions of Bible truth that grips & challenges those who have the joy of hearing him. He has a special love for men, having been a very successful football coach before being called into ministry. His church gives over $100,000.00 to special mission ministries each year, including gifts to Bambi Lake. Evangelism & missions are at the heart of this man of God. He has been involved in evangelism & ministry in both India & Haiti. He also serves as chairman of the Board of Directors for the Jim Wilson Evangelism Association. Wilson Brothers, Keith & Kent grew up in Miles Road Baptist Church. They were both called to ministry under Jim Palmer. Keith has served as the worship leader for Miles Rd. Baptist Church & Kent is pastor of Coastal Shores Baptist Church. They have been greatly used of the Lord in providing music for churches & conferences across America. Dr. Dean Doster has served as pastor of 5 churches in Kentucky and Tennessee as well as numerous interims while serving in denominational ministries. He has also served as Bi-vocational Pastor of Bethel Baptist Church McKenzie, TN since 2007 (4.5 years) till he resigned to give 24/7 care to his wife who had brain cancer until her home going September 2013. He has a pastor s heart. He served 8 years as Executive Director of the Louisiana State Convention, 4 years as State Missions Director for Pennsylvania South Jersey Baptist Convention and 4 years as Associate Director Public Relations for the Tennessee Baptist Children s Home in Nashville. In addition, he served the Home Mission Board (NAMB) for 14 years--9 years as Regional Coordinator President s Office and 5 years as Personal Evangelism and Assoc. Vice President. From this background he brings a message to laymen from the prospective of a lifetime serving as pastor and denominational leader. David Jones is the Worship Leader for First Baptist Church Trenton, Michigan. He previously served as Worship Leader at Friendship Baptist Church Lincoln Park, Forrest Park Baptist Church Farmington Hills, Logan Elm Baptist Church Circleville Ohio, and First Baptist Church Blakely, Georgia. He has also taught music in public school and taught high school and college students in music courses. With his wife Pam they have lead music in revival from Michigan to Florida. He has a BA degree from Wayne State University in Music and a Master s Degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Having previously served churches in California, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Tennessee, he has also served with the Home Mission Board as a Home Missionary Church Planter and with Lifeway Christian Resources as an editor. For the last ten years, before becoming Pastor of Wynne Baptist Church, he served as the Associate Executive Director of the Arkansas Baptist State Convention, working among 1500 churches. For over 30 years, Don has been a student of what happens when God comes and touches the heart of His people. He draws upon personal experiences and biblical conviction when discussing the questions what happens in the Presence of God? and how can we get there? Winter Pastors / Staff Retreat February 17-19, 2014 Bambi Lake Retreat & Conference Center The retreat is designed to encourage, minister to and equip pastors and leaders so they can return to their congregations refreshed, with specific plans and tools to move their people toward revival, harvest, and spiritual maturity. Pastor Keith Williams began Pastoring the historic Nazarene Baptist Church in Philadelphia, PA. Under his leadership the church had a Spiritual explosion which resulted in unprecedented membership growth and a build up of ministries to reach the needs of people from 2-92. He launched capital campaigns that would help with new construction of the church and a 93 acre camp and conference center. He has been the President of the of Pennsylvania/ South Jersey Baptist Convention. He was also elected the first President of the Baptist convention of PA/ South Jersey African American Fellowship. Twice he was elected President of the State Convention Presidents Fellowship for the SBC. He is a gifted communicator and a Pastor s Pastor. His dynamic speaking has allowed him to share for the LifeWay National Stand Firm Conf., the MVM National Men s Conf., NAMB, The National Fellowship for Christian Athletes, the National Kingdom Growth Conference, and more. Married to Constance, they have three grown children. We are excited to have Pastor Williams with us.
