St Helena s Church Kirmington It was good to see the local people and the school participating in the act of Remembrance on Armistice Day led by Mary Vickers. The school provided refreshments afterwards. Dates for your diary Coffee Break Praise will be 22 nd Dec at 10:30am. After the short act of worship led by Enid Knowles there will be coffee, mince pies etc. Please come along. Children will be welcome as it is holiday time. Coffee Break Praise will be January 26 th Carol Service 20 th December 4pm. This will be led by Ann Liles and hopefully involve local people and children. There will be refreshments after the service and the Christmas raffle will be drawn. These events are for you so please support them. Items suitable for Christmas hampers and other raffle prizes will be very gratefully received. Either leave at the back of the church or bring to 15 East End or I will collect. (01652 688079) As the year draws to a close once again many thanks to all the volunteers who keep the Church going gardeners, cleaners, V.C.C. and P.C.C. members and anyone involved in getting this News letter to your door step. St John the Evangelist Croxton On Sunday 13 th December there will be the usual service of Holy Communion BCP at 9:30am. This will be the third Sunday of Advent. All welcome. Christmas Day There will be a service of Holy Communion BCP with carols at 9:30am on Christmas Day. Please come along and spend a short time thinking about the real meaning of Christmas. All welcome. Make new friends at Club Feeling a bit low, or left out and would like to make new friends? The 3 in 1 Club for over-50 s meets at Great Limber Village Hall from 1:30pm to 4:00pm every fortnite on a Thursday. Come and have a bit of fun and a chat over a cuppa. A game of dominoes or whist, join in with a game of bingo, or a go on the name card, or raffle. We do go out for lunches as well as the odd outings. All this for a 1. St Peters Church Great Limber Our Harvest Festival on Sunday 25 th October was a big success. Thank you to everybody who donated food, bedding, toys etc. for the Ark Animal Sanctuary, also donations of 46.00. the Ark is a wonderful place set in beautiful countryside near Donna Nook. The staff were very grateful for everything including the leftover cakes. I would like to thank Maggie, Anthony, Joyce, Jack and everybody else who supported this occasion. Thanks Jayne Irons Great limber village stores will be collecting donations of food, bedding etc. for the Ark for Christmas. Weddings Kate Hunton and Ross Smith were married on 18 th June 2015 followed by another service in Dubai where they both live and work. Father, bless them in their new life together; pour love into their hearts in Jesus s name. Amen. Silly gardener!
