We will celebrate Mass in the Chapel at 6:00pm on that day. Adoration before the blessed sacrament is one of the most beautiful of all catholic devotions, and we at St. Ann are blessed to share in this. The hours of adoration are 6:00am to Midnight, and currently there are four hours open if you would like to commit to an hour for your own adoration each week. The month of October is dedicated to the Holy Rosary. The last apparition of our Holy Mother at Fatima occurred in October 1907. Pope Francis has invited all of the faithful, of all the world, to pray the Holy Rosary every day, during the entire Marian month of October, and thus to join in communion and in penitence, as the people of God, in asking the Holy Mother of God and Saint Michael Archangel to protect the Church from the devil, who always seeks to separate us from God and from each other. Pope Francis asked us to conclude our rosary with our Prayer to St. Michael: {St. Michael, the Archangel, defend us in the day of battle, be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.} as well as the following prayer: {We fly to thy protection, O Holy Mother of God. Do not despise our petitions in our necessities, but deliver us always from all dangers, O Glorious and Blessed Virgin.} Exploring Liturgical Signs and Symbols within our Catholic Church. We have to understand the difference between a sign and a symbol. Anything in the church, liturgical colors, statues, holy pictures are signs like for a driver the road signs. One who has gone through a memorable experience, that sign becomes a symbol, because it reminds him of the whole experience that he went through. Likewise, the signs in the church become symbols in our faith journey for those who have gone through a personal relationship with the Lord. Each week in the bulletin, we will be reflecting on a different sign or symbol. The hours listed below are open in our Blessed Margaret Eucharistic Adoration Chapel. If you would like to take one of these hours for your personal adoration and prayer time, please call Mary K. at 304-203-4429, 304-592-2733 or call Mary Ann at 304-669-3504. Sunday from 9:00pm to 10:00pm; Tuesday from 4:00pm to 5:00pm, Saturday from 4:00pm to 5:00pm and Saturday from 5:00pm to 6:00pm.
