Mark Lampley Leader: Leader: Seek the Lord while he may be found; call upon Him while He is near. We cast aside our self-concern, Lord, to be caught up in the joy of serving you. And what does the Lord require of us? To be just to all we meet; to show constant love; and to walk humbly with our God. * HYMN OF PRAISE: When Morning Gilds the Skies...Hymn No. 487 * PRAYER OF CONFESSION (In Unison): Dear God, for the day you have given us, with all its possibilities, we thank you. For your gifts of life and love, of labor and rest, we praise your holy name. Forgive us that too often we are unappreciative while your goodness surrounds us; that we feel alone when there are many who love us; that we despair when your strength is near at hand. Tear down the walls that isolate us, make strong the ties that bind us, and help us to walk together with joy in all your ways; through the grace of Jesus Christ and the power of your Holy Spirit. Amen. * SILENT CONFESSION * ASSURANCE OF PARDON Leader: If anyone is in Christ, that person is a new creation.
