People: No one who believes in Christ will be put to shame. Leader: God is generous to all who call on God. All: Everyone who calls on the name of the Holy God shall be saved. Let us worship God! *Hymn 457 I Greet Thee, Who My Sure Redeemer Art toulon x *Opening Prayer Fred Cassell Prayer of Confession Lord Jesus, we call upon you to save us. We are intimidated by our circumstances, distracted from your purposes, drowning in doubts and fears. We are presumptuous about your will, belittling others and magnifying ourselves. We envy the blessings of others, secretly despising their dreams. We have hardened our hearts to the suffering of our brothers and sisters, feeding ourselves in face of the injustice that holds them captive. Lord Jesus, who searches our hearts, lift us from sin and help us to walk with you in faith, humility, and brotherly-sisterly love. Amen. (silent confession) Kyrie (Hymnal No. 565) Lord, have mercy. Christ, have mercy. Lord, have mercy. Declaration of Pardon Leader: Friends, believe the good news of the gospel. People: In Jesus Christ we are forgiven. Thanks be to God! Call to Faithfulness Leader: As God s own people, be merciful in action, kindly in heart, humble in mind. Be always ready to forgive as freely as God has forgiven you. And, above everything else, be loving, and never forget to be thankful for what Christ has done for you. *Gloria Patri Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost. As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen, Amen.

Sermon Walking in Faith Lisa Patterson Responding to God s Word *Affirmation of Faith (unison) Philippians 2:5-11 Christ Jesus, though he was in the form of God, did not regard equality with God as something to be exploited, but emptied himself, taking the form of a slave, being born in human likeness. And being found in human form he humbled himself and became obedient to the point of death even death on a cross. Therefore God also highly exalted him and gave him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bend, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue should confess to the glory of God: Jesus Christ is Lord! *Hymn 369 I m Gonna Live So God Can Use Me i m gonna live Presentation of Tithes & Offerings Offertory Every Time I Feel The Spirit arr. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
