Teachers and staff are doing their part wiping desks, chairs, doorknobs, etc. daily. Thank you again for helping make Catholic Schools Week 2018 a huge success! St. Valentine is the Patron Saint of affianced couples, bee keepers, engaged couples, epilepsy, fainting, greetings, happy marriages, love, plague, travelers, and young people. He is represented in pictures with birds and roses and his feast day is celebrated on February 14. We can be thankful for and celebrate the people we love and cherish in our lives. Christ showed us the example of perfect love and we know love today because He first loved us. May we all Love Extravagantly. 1 Corinthians 13:13 Check out all the scriptures that talk about love and God s love for us. Maybe challenge yourself to reflect on one verse daily. Here s a couple to start with. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 1 John 4:11 There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. We love because He first loved us. 1 John 4:18-19 A Lenten Prayer Dear Lord, during this holy season of Lent, remind us these are the days of salvation. Help us to make it through our difficulties, and the trials and temptations of everyday life. Help keep us from evil and help us avoid the pain and hurt sin causes. Remind us to be prayerful and to reflect upon the great sacrifice Jesus made for each one of us. Amen. Have a great weekend!
