Let us join our hearts and voices in praise and thanks to God! Large print bulletins are available and children s bulletins are available on the table in the Narthex.

Those who are able are invited to stand. PRELUDE Praise to the Lord H. Livingston LIFE OF THE CONGREGATION Moment of silence to prepare your hearts for worship LET US WORSHIP GOD TOGETHER SONG OF DEVOTION (hymnal & screen) #564 Just a Closer Walk with Thee (vs. 1) CALL TO WORSHIP (Proverbs 3:3-6) Leader: Let love and faithfulness never leave you; People: bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. Leader: Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. People: Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; Leader: in all your ways submit to Him, People: and He will make your paths straight. INVOCATION Leader: Almighty God, fill the sanctuary with Your Holy Spirit. Touch each of us and draw us into Your presence, and make us into the image of Your Son. Bind the evil one and all his temptations from our lives so that we might be holy in your sight. In Jesus name we pray. Amen. SONGS OF PRAISE (insert, hymnal & screen) Shout to the North #191 Father, I Adore You CALL TO CONFESSION ( Psalm 81:11-14, 16) Leader: My people would not listen to Me; Israel would not submit to Me. So I gave them over to their stubborn hearts to follow their own devices. If My people would only listen to Me, if Israel would only follow My ways, how quickly I would subdue their enemies and turn My hand against their foes! But you would be fed with the finest of wheat; with honey from the rock I would satisfy you. Let us submit our stubborn hearts to God and confess our sin in silent prayer so that we might be redeemed by God's grace. SILENT PRAYER

PRAYER OF CONFESSION Unison: Gracious God, forgive us for our stubborn pride. We want to be in control, we think we can manage our lives, but our ways only lead us into trouble. Help us to submit our wills to Your will. Grant us the grace to trust You. In Jesus name we pray. Amen. ASSURANCE OF PARDON (Romans 8: 1-4) Leader: Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death. For what the law was powerless to do because it was weakened by the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sin offering. And so He condemned sin in the flesh, in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. Sisters and brothers I declare to you that you are forgiven! AFFIRMATION OF FAITH The Apostles Creed Unison: I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ His only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; He descended into hell; the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic Church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen. GLORIA PATRI Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost, As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen, Amen.
