A WORD FROM FR. IVAN Dear Brothers and Sisters, Christ is Risen! He is Truly Risen! This is the greeting of every Christian during this time of Easter. Today we celebrate Christ s Resurrection from the dead. We have prepared for this for 40 Lenten Days so today we may experience the resurrection of Christ as part of our personal life. The Christ who came out from the tomb has destroyed death, not only physical death, but our daily death caused mainly by our sins. The result of all this brings us the true Joy of Easter that lasts for 50 Days. The Palm Sunday Celebration was very beautiful. Archbishop Hebda was extremely touched and happy to be with us. There are pictures of this event in the last page of the bulletin and more pictures in the parish website. I want to give thanks to many groups and people who made this celebration possible. Choir: Mary Beth (our music director) all the Choir members and Organist. Church Decoration Ministry: Especially Kathy Hounder & Barb Graf and all who help out with cleaning and decorating the Church. Sacristans: Tom Kneissel, Roy, and Neil. Lectors and Eucharistic Ministers. All Altar Servers All the Ushers. Festivity committee for setting up the reception after the Easter Vigil. RCIA Director David Neira and All the Interns. I would also like to take this occasion to congratulate the large number of brothers and sisters who are being baptized this Easter Vigil. May they, together with the many young people who were baptized into Christ last night, continue to journey with us, and may be a light in the world s darkness, which will draw many others to discover the love of the Father. May they also know of our joy to have them partake of the Holy Eucharist with us! Wishing you a blessed Easter Sunday! Fr. Ivan Sant frivansant@churchofstbernard-stp.org Page 2 St. Bernard
