Grace OSA Father spoke about and read excerpts from the letter from the Supreme Knight regarding what has happened and is happening within our Church. KofC adheres to the tenants of the Catholic Church. Our primary commandment is to love our neighbor as ourselves- take that in- do we do that? Our love of others impels us to conduct our charitable activities, as a result of our faith. We do wonderful works, but what is our foundation, basis, driving force, intention? Numbers? No, not just notoriety, but for the practical impacts that affect lives- Disaster Relief, warms kids with coats, gives wheelchairs to help those to be mobile, and provides housing and medical care to people in Africa. Thanks Be to God for that. Page 2
Our love motivates us to stand with the church on Marriage and Family Life; we stand with the church because it stands over time, as a value to be forever held. Our position on life is not new, but must continually be defended. We have to work to offset Roe v. Wade at all times. Fr. Grace lauds all the work we do, and it must come from the basis of our foundation- our love of God and our Faith, or it means nothing. Do everything in our power to live as expected, in the center of Christ, in our Church and with the KofC, great Knights, Christians, lovers of Christ. 10:32 AM: Chapter Officer s Report: - Treasurer s Report: Michael Bordwell, Treasurer Previous Balance- $4,843.50 Deposits $ 640.58 Several recent checks outstanding totaling $ 801.14 For a final balance $4,682.94 - Secretary s Report: Tom Davis, Secretary I have sent out a 3 rd notice for Chapter Per-Capita, aka Dues, as well as a first request for council funds to support our Chapter-led programs- Religious Appreciation Dinner, Widow s Luncheon, Priests Golf, Convention Hospitality Suite, and Chapter Charities.
