Incentives I would like to thank those that do so much to make life better on the less fortunate. It troubled my heart not to be able make a couple of rides honoring some of our deceased members. What makes us honor some and overlook others, what if we had a ride in honor of our deceased members, would any one feel their loved one was left out? Not my department just thinking out loud. This has caused me to think of so many things you have done to help me minister. I appreciate your good deeds, so does HOG, Harley Davidson of New Bern, but do you get a Heavenly reward? Many times I hear funerals held and the speaker will say they are getting their rewards. Have they according to the Bible? Isa 64:6, But we are all as an unclean [thing], and all our righteousness [are] as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away. 1Co 3:13: Every man's work shall be made manifest, for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. 1Co 3:14: If any man's work abide which he hath built there upon, he shall receive a reward. 1Co 3:15: If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire. What is all this saying? If one has not accepted Christ in to their heart, Biblical speaking there is no Heavenly Reward. Isa. 64:6 made this plain. Even if we are a Christian we will be tested for motives (the reason we did a good deed). If the motive passed the Fire of the Holy Spirit we get the rewards. I m reminded of a young man who continued to lie in bed while his mother told him to get up. After some time he ask why he had to go get up and go to church. Mom s reply was, because you are the Pastor, and expected to be there. See You In The Wind! Chaplain Webber Want to be a HOG Chapter Officer? There are positions open on the board.
