During the summer we are supporting our local neighbors in need. PADS - Friday Nights during July and August Sign up opportunities will continue in July. We have the opportunity to provide food, shelter and fellowship to 90 guests each Friday night, but it can't be done without your help! Be a table host, work a shift, help with set-up, clean-up, bake a dessert, donate socks and undies or offer to buy shoes. Walk with us on our journey of support for those who suffer from homelessness in DuPage County. Join the youth ministry and Eagles Wings leadership for a weekend retreat August 10-12 at LOMC in Oregon, IL. This is a great way to get a jump start on the new school year. We are scheduled to leave the Main Campus on Friday, August 10 at 4:00 pm, and return by noon on Sunday, August 12 after a weekend of fun, friends, team building, singing, and worship. Please help us celebrate the 11th anniversary of the annual Summer Men Sing! This event was started in the summer of 2002 as an opportunity for Our Saviour s men to provide the musical leadership in the weekend worship services. The Men Sing Chorus has grown to be an all-volunteer group of male singers from several churches (St. Tim s, Good Shepherd, etc.) from the Naperville area. Besides the Summer Sing event, the chorus also presents an Epiphany concert during the winter benefitting local charities. This year, the Men Sing Chorus, under the direction of Phil Spencer, will help provide the music leadership for Children s Ministries Summer Church School Children ages 3 to 6 are invited to attend Summer Church School at Celebration!, Sundays at 10:00 am from June 10 - July 29. Annual Forums are in July to present and discuss the proposed 2012-2013 budget and proposed by-law change. Why? To provide another opportunity to communicate matters to the people of God, and to be better aligned with the rhythm of the year. Our proposed by-law change is the following: July Semi-Annual Meeting (3 rd weekend in July with an Annual Forum the weekend prior) Vote on Operating Budget for Fiscal Year, July 1 - June 30 Vision, Ministry and Mission Updates January Semi-Annual Meeting (3 rd weekend in January with an Annual Forum the weekend prior) Vote on Church Council candidates Vision, Ministry, and Mission updates *Both would have semi-annual reports. The July report would have budget proposal and ministry reports that focus on what has happened. The January report would focus on what is coming in the next calendar year.
