GRAND KNIGHT CORNER by Lonn Safko Brothers, with Thanksgiving behind us we turn our attention to the celebration of the miraculous birth of our Savior. We will be sponsoring the Keep Christ in Christmas program for the PSR students at St. Joseph's. Also, our Change for Life baby bottles are due. I wish that as we prepare for Christmas we realize how good we have it and share some of our wealth with those who our without. Whether you give a cash donation, buy food or clothing or ring the bell at a Salvation Army red kettle, please consider doing something special this year. I wish you all a Merry Christmas and God s Blessings. Peace, Lonn COATS FOR KIDS Greetings brother Knights, the Grand Knight and I delivered the coats to Catholic Charities on November 6th. I am so proud that our council spent the extra money to get coats for the older Kids, because last year they did not have enough coats for them. I stayed to help hand out the coats and as always it is so great to see how happy the kids are when getting a new coat. The Moms are also very, very thankful. We have had another successful year helping Catholic Charities. PEACE, and Merry Christmas! Bob Zullo, PGK FOOD & TOY DRIVE Deadline Dec. 7th Greetings again Brother Knights, the time has come once again to deliver the food and toys to the 4C's. Brother Dan Baumbick and I went shopping at Aldi's for food. Thanks to our council's generous donation, we were able to buy a lot of groceries to donate. We only have a few days left before we deliver it, so PLEASE bring in some food and/ or toys to our next meeting or before. Cutoff date will be December 7th as we will try to deliver the food on the 10th of December. I just want to say thanks to all who have already brought food and toys in. Hope everyone had a Joyous and healthy Thanksgiving. MERRY CHRISTMAS and may GOD Bless Bob Zullo, PGK, 216-469-6953 KEEP THE KIDS WARM CAMPAIGN By Bob Zullo We continue to collect hats, gloves and scarves for kids of all ages, as well as new or slightly used winter coats, until December 11 th ; if you can help, please call me at 216-469-6953 to make arrangements for a drop off at the hall. HALL INQUIRIES & RENTALS: I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We had 5 inquiries for the month of October. We had 1 booking for a benefit dinner to be held for a young man recovering from a horrific automobile accident. The council very graciously donated the hall for this use. Thank you! One of the inquiries was from our website. Unfortunately, I haven t received a return call from anyone so I will be calling them to see if they have made a decision! Please remember to recommend your hall to anyone you know that is planning a special event...parties, weddings & receptions, anniversaries, showers, or funeral luncheons...we can handle it all! Also remember...if any member of the council has a death in their immediate family, please call me to check for the hall s availability for the funeral luncheon. Doug & I wish you all a very Blessed Christmas Season!
