What s Going On? the CATHOLIC PARISHES of Sandusky HOLY ANGELS SAINT MARY S SAINTS PETER & PAUL Mass at Holy Angels January 20th 10:30am for Intercultural Ministries. Bishop Thomas will be the celebrant, followed by a reception. Just as a reminder... because of the removal of the pews and the refinishing of the floors at St. Mary's (beginning January 7), we will not have First Friday Adoration or the regular weekly Tuesday adoration at Saint Mary's. These will simply be canceled until the pews are returned. Holy Angels Clean, gently used coats, blankets, bath towels and wash cloths are being collected for donation at Holy Angels. Drop into large box in the hallway marked for same. Drive will run through January 27, 2019. Thank you. Incarnation The Mystery of God s all- Embracing Love, a Mid-Winter Retreat led by Fr. Marty Nassr will be held at OLC Retreat Center, 321 Clay St., Carey, OH 43316, the weekend of Feb. 8-10, 2019. Thanks to Mark Fitzthum and our Building & Grounds team for their planning and good work. This will be about a ten-week project. Our Finance Council and pastor are concerned about our weekly collection being $7,000 lower this first week of the project compared to last week. This is the amount weekly that pays for our entire parish staff. Our Mass attendance was also down to 884 compared to 1087 the week prior. If you find the chairs in church difficult to use, please attend Holy Angels or Sts. Peter & Paul for Mass. Your St. Mary s collection envelope will find its way to your parish. the CATHOLIC PARISHES of Sandusky HOLY ANGELS SAINT MARY S SAINTS PETER & PAUL Recently, Sister Joyce Marie Bates, SND, informed me that she will resign her position as Pastoral Associate of Holy Angels Parish, effective 30 June 2019. I am grateful to Sister Joyce for her 12 years of service to Holy Angels and to all the Catholic Parishes of Sandusky. On behalf of my brother priests, Fathers Jeff Walker and Matt Frisbee, the parish staff members of Holy Angels, Saints Peter and Paul and Saint Mary's, and all the faithful of our community, I extend to Sister our best wishes as she begins a new chapter in her life; may it be one of great joy, many blessings, and much happiness! Please know as the time draws closer, we will have an opportunity together to show Sister Joyce our appreciation prior to her departure.
