Cards will be collected until February 3rd, 2019. Cards will be recycled and used for art projects at Camp Courageous. They are able to use the entire card for their projects so you do not need to remove the back of the cards. Britney Ford has placed drop boxes at the church entrances where you can leave your cards. TIPTON 3 Please feel free to take home memorial poinsettias after mass this weekend. The church is now entering ordinary time. Thank you for your contribution to the beauty of the Christmas season. Confirmation Class of 2020 students in this year s 8 th and 9 th grades: January 16, 7 p.m. in the hall. Grades 10, 11, 12 Wednesday, January 16, at 7 p.m. in the hall. Adults, young and old, day Studies are at 9 a.m. in the religious education office in the parish hall. We study and reflect on the lectionary Scripture of the day and liturgical seasons of the church. Singing/Praying: This month s 4 th Wednesday Sing will be January 23, 7:30 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. in the Church. Looking ahead to May. (Date yet to be determined.) Current Eucharist Ministers 3 year update. If anyone new is interested in joining this ministry please feel free to join us at that time. We are also always looking for People to help take communion to the Homebound. This is a very rewarding way to help. Watch the bulletin for further information. DID YOU KNOW? Quiet bags are available in church and can be used by children during mass. They are located on a short tree/coat stand, one by the restrooms and one by the food pantry drop off. The canvas/tote bags are multi colored with a church emblem on them and St. Mary s Quiet Bag printed on them. These current colorful bags are only one year old but other quiet bags have been around for many years. These bags contain children s books, coloring pages, crayons and are replenished each week. Lisa Dircks has been the chair person in charge of this Women of St. Mary s program for the past 5 years. Many helpful women in the parish volunteer and take monthly turns helping replenish the quiet bags. Please feel free to utilize these fun quiet bags. Ron, GK The CEW is a a time of adult renewal held for men and women, 18 yrs and above. The weekend begins on Friday night at 7:30pm and ends on day at 4:30pm. In order to maximize the CEW community experience, all participants spend their time together on the retreat. Meals are included in the registration fee of $45. A series of talks, discussions and activities are conducted by both religious and lay persons which will enhance your awareness of God and your life in the Christian Community. Mass will be celebrated during the weekend. Anyone wishing to grow in their faith, strengthen their personal relationship with God and become engaged with their Christian Community is encouraged to attend. The retreat weekend includes a Catholic emphasis in the talks plus a sacramental presence of the Eucharist and Reconciliation. Non- Catholics are welcome to attend.
