ACTIVITY 1 ALL AGES Review Circles Big Idea: Have the children run inside of a hula hoop and then answer questions about the story. What You Need: Hula Hoops, CD player and fun music Place the hula hoops onto the floor in an open area of your classroom. As the music is playing, have the children walk around the room. When the music stops, the kids will run to stand inside one of the hoops. The leader will point to one hula hoop and ask the children inside of it to answer a question about the day s lesson. FOR 2/3 YEAR OLDS: If they aren t able to answer the questions have them say the main point, Jesus is there when I need him. Start the music and continue until all of the questions are asked then *Bring it Back to Jesus 1. What did the man have trouble doing? (He couldn t see. He was blind.) 2. Who saw that the blind man needed help and helped him? (Jesus) 3. What did Jesus put on the blind man s eyes? (Mud) 4. What happened when the blind man wiped off the mud? (He could see) 5. Who is there when you need Him? (Jesus is there when I need Him!) After the activity: Jesus helped the man see again today in our lesson. The blind man really needed Jesus! There are lots of things we think we need, but all we really need is Jesus. He knows what we need and will always take care of us. So, tell me, Who is there when you need Him? Jesus is there when I need Him!

ACTIVITY 2 ALL AGES Parachute Memory Verse Big Idea: Children will play with the parachute while practicing their memory verse. What You Need: Parachute and Ball pit balls Place the balls onto the center of the parachute. Have the children form a circle and grab onto the sides of the parachute. Start off shaking the parachute slowly and then shake the parachute faster and faster until all of the balls have fallen off of the parachute. Collect the balls and start again. Once you have done this a couple of times have the children say their memory verse while shaking the parachute, Psalm 119:57 Clean up all the balls and Bring it Back to Jesus*. After the activity: WOW! That was so much fun! Jesus helped the man see again today in our lesson. The blind man really needed Jesus! There are lots of things we think we need, but all we really need is Jesus. He knows what we need and will always take care of us. So, tell me, Who is there when you need Him? Jesus is there when I need Him!

ACTIVITY 3 ALL AGES January 5th/6 th Pass the Ball Big Idea: Children will pass the ball over their head to the person next to them without using their eyes. What You Need: Medium Soft Ball Have the children line up in a single file line. Give the first child in line the ball. Have the children pass the ball to the person behind them. When the last person in line has the ball, have the children pass the ball in front of them to get the ball back to the front of the line. Repeat the game again, but this time, have the children play with their eyes closed. If you have more time, time the kids to see how fast they can get the ball to the end and back. Continue playing trying to beat your time! FOR 2/3 YEAR OLDS: If this is too difficult for the little ones, have the kids sit in a circle and pass the ball, trying to keep their eyes closed. After the activity: Just like in this game, it s harder to do things when you cannot see. Jesus helped the man see again today in our lesson. The blind man really needed Jesus! There are lots of things we think we need, but all we really need is Jesus. He knows what we need and will always take care of us. So, tell me, Who is there when you need Him?
