RELIGIOUS SCHOOL REGISTRATION Plans for our religious school are well under way for the fall. We are pleased to announce that we will continue to have a joint religious school program with Temple Beth Am in Bayonne. As was the case this year, classes will be held at Temple Beth-El. Kindergarten through Grade 3 will meet on Sunday morning. Grades 4 through 7 will meet on Thursday afternoons. Rabbis Brickman and Gladstone and Lena Schwartz will serve on our teaching staff, along with our new Student Cantor, Larisa Averbakh, who will teach music to the Sunday School class and tutor BarlBat Mitzvah students. If you know parents in our community whose children are not registered in our school for the fall, please urge them to call Rabbi Brickman so that they can be a part of our exciting religious school program. LOOKING AHEAD TO THE HIGH HOLY DAYS Rosh Hashanah will be here before you know it, so we are beginning to make our plans for the High Holy Days. All Temple members in good standing will be assigned to the same seats as last year, though we urge those seated toward the rear of the sanctuary to move closer to the "bimah." Also, you must call the Temple office if you want to purchase guest tickets for out-of-town family members. Remember that guest tickets are only for those who live out-of-town. If you have friends in the community who want to attend services, please ask them to join the Temple now. The Ritual Committee will be assigning "aliyahs" and other honors soon. If you have a special request, please speak to Rabbi Brickman or to our Ritual Committee Chairpeople. Hortense Gutmann and Blanche Dohrman.
