SECOND SUNDAY OF ORDINARY TIME DRUGA NEDJELJA KROZ GODINU POVJEROVATI ISUSU From Fr.

CROATIANS IN AMERICA BY VLADIMIR NOVAK Famous Croatian photographer Mr. Vladimir Novak just published a new book with an interesting title Croatians in America. With more than 500 photos on 250 pages this is a unique historic overview of the Croatian way of life in America. The book can be purchased in our rectory and the prize is $60. The faces you see in this book are a walking history of the people who paved the path and made dreams achieveable. Some, we only remember by their first names and others by their contributions. Spend time exploring the many faces and paths that make up the pages of this authentic story. I hope that you can find a home for your soul, whether you live. Fr. Jozo Grbeš
The Culture of death is a phrase that Pope St. John Paul II loved to use, while addressing the sad reality of culture of abortion, euthanasia and absence of respect for human life. Few weeks ago abortion law passed the Irish legislature, following a referendum in which the Irish overwhelming voted to repeal a clause in the country s constitution outlawing abortion. But something interesting happened: While the law legalizing abortion went into effect in Ireland last week, only a small number of doctors have signed up to perform abortions. It looks that Culture of life is not defeated yet. Let us pray and work together for this important cause. LITURGICAL CORNER LITURGIJSKI KUTAK Tip No. 2 Silent your cell phone and refrain from chewing a gum! One of the most annoying things that could happen during the mass is when some -one's phone start to ring. Just like we said last week: for our experience of the holy mass it is important to keep the silence. In the church. Please, make sure that your cell phone is on silent mode before you enter the church. Another very annoying (and very rude!) habit is chewing a gum during the mass. In the Eucahrist Jesus is giving himself to us, and his Body is a food of Eternity. Let us not mix eternity with a gum that we will throw away in the garbage later that day.
