As I enter the sixth month of serving as Apostolic Administrator of Cleveland, I ask you to redouble your prayers that the Lord may give every grace to fulfill this role. Please also remember the intentions of Bishop Richard Lennon in retirement, and of Pope Francis, as we await his appointment of a new bishop for the Diocese of Cleveland. He knows students by name and joins them for lunch regularly. The students, teachers, and Father enjoy the time together. As we approach the new school year, Father Dave and the Eighth Grade class will embark on a scientific, mathematical, and spiritual journey together. Father is an expert gardener and has vast knowledge of native Ohio annuals. He is going to guide our eighth graders as they design and create a prayerful garden experience to be enjoyed by the entire parish. Father has access to over fifty plants indigenous to Ohio and will be an integral part of our learners research as they discover what each plant needs to thrive on our parish grounds. They will study soil content, water drainage, and light patterns before they design and create a beautiful space to enjoy God s gift of nature and reflect in prayer. We ask that you pray for Father Dave, our Eighth Grade Learners, and our teachers as they embark on this learning journey in September.
