We ask that you continue to keep those on the prayer list in your daily prayers. Thank you In the opening line to chapter 3 of Paul s letter to the church in Ephesus you notice something that Paul frequently points to I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus. When we see this today it is often easy for us to assume that Paul means that he is sold out for the Lord and a servant or prisoner of the Lord. Unfortunately that would be a dangerous assumption. When Paul adds this phrase to any of his letter we have to remember that Paul was literally in jail because of the ministry that God called him to. Paul, because of the Spirit of the Lord working in him, realized the need for the Gospel to go out to all people and obeyed his call. His call though, is no different from our call. We are commanded to go and bring the Good News to a lost and dying world. They question we have to ask ourselves is, are we obeying? Are we allowing the Spirit to work in our lives, which will send us out, or are we showing those around us that we are intentionally disobeying the Spirit which is sin. Or even worse, are we showing those around us that the Spirit is not in us which means we aren t true sons and daughters of the living God.
