CONGRATULATIONS -- To Father Vincent Chirichella on the occasion of his Tenth Anniversary of Ordination. After ministering as Parochial Vicar at Saint Luke Church for five years, Fr. Vincent became pastor of Saint Dominic Church in Brooklyn. Fr. Vincent is currently the pastor of Our Lady of Grace Church in Brooklyn. We wish Fr. Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament All are invited to spend some time in prayer with the Lord present in the Blessed Sacrament on the First Friday of each month. The Exposition of the Most Blessed Sacrament follows the 8:30am Mass until 5:00pm when it will close with Benediction. The next Exposition of the Most Blessed Sacrament will be on Friday, June 2nd. Save the date! The Saint Vincent de Paul Society will sponsor a Clothing Drive on Sunday, June 25th from 8:00am until 1:00pm. The truck will be parked in the church parking lot accepting your donations of gently used clothing. WEEKLY OFFERING ENVELOPES We are aware that our parishioners did not receive their packet of weekly offering envelopes for June and July. After contacting the printer, we were notified that because of a problem with the Post Office, the packets were not delivered. Interim envelopes for the next two weeks will be mailed out from the printer and we are assured that the packets will be sent out as well. In the meantime, if you have not yet received your envelopes, please print your name and address on a plain white envelope and include your donation. BAPTISM PROGRAM When preparing for the Baptism of your child, parents must attend a Pre-Baptism Class. Godparents are welcome and encouraged to attend. The class is held once a month usually on the third Monday night of the month at 7:30pm. The Baptismal Liturgy is usually celebrated on the second and fourth Sunday of the month at 3pm. No Baptism can take place until the church receives a copy of the child s Birth Certificate as required by the diocese. BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT GROUP A Bereavement Support Group provides a safe place where people who are grieving the loss of loved ones can share their experiences with others who are in similar situations, who have similar concerns and who are better able to understand the grief process. Our Bereavement Group at Saint Luke Parish currently meets on the first Tuesday of the month at 7:00pm in the Pastoral Center. The next meeting of the Bereavement Group will take place on Tuesday, June 6th. An additional meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 27th due to the fact that no meetings will be held in July and August.
