Projects Lane Report January 2015 October 2018 Hope City Leader: Roland Baker Legacy Leaders: Scott Wynant NEW VISION PROJECTS Silos Broadcast Brick & Mortar Campus In an effort to obtain our first permanent facility, Hope City is seeking to purchase the Silos property and begin construction on our new Hope City Broadcast Campus. A permanent facility would enable us to continue to fulfill our vision to love God, love people, and change the world. The target date for the completion of this project would be Easter 2020. Estimated Land Purchase Price (17.0164 Acres): $19,250,000 1-2 Additional Portable Satellite Campuses in 2019 It is the vision of Hope City to continue its reach and connect with the people in the city of Houston by planting multiple campuses across Greater Houston. In 2019, the goal is to launch one, possibly two, additional satellite campuses. Cost: $1,300,000 (~ $650,000 each) Stream Truck Capital Upgrade To date, we have seen an average online reach of 30,000 people per weekend enabling us to reach people in 91 different countries. The addition of an online campus will expand our viewership, provide our online membership base with a campus to call their own, and improve the overall experience of watching an online church service. The desire is to enhance the online streaming of Hope City services from simply live viewings to an actual experience fostering a campus feel from the comfort of your home. In order to do this, Hope City will need to upgrade our broadcasting communication and equipment infrastructure located inside of our Stream Truck. Estimated Upgrade Cost: $500,000 PROGRESS REPORTS Silos Broadcast Brick & Mortar Campus We have made an inital Good Faith Investment of $250,000 on the Silos property for the build out of our first permanent facility to serve as our Hope City Broadcast Campus. At this time, Hope City is in the middle of our 120 day due-diligence period that ends on January 23, 2019. With an additional $50,000 deposit, this date can be extended to February 22, 2019. It is because of this investment that Hope City has seen over 22,000 salvations since January 2015. Estimated Spent: $2,850,000 Stream Truck Purchase Hope City made the initial investment of $120,000 for our Stream Truck in 2016 equipping us with an avenue to broadcast our services online and to additional locations. Since that time, we have made gradual improvements to enhance our livestream experiences. With this purchase, we have seen an average online reach of 30,000 people per weekend enabling us to reach people in 91 different countries. Vehicle/Trailer Purchases Since January 2015, Hope City has purchased 18 trailers, an F250, an F350 and a box truck enabling the storage and transportation of our weekly portable assets for each location. Each campus requires a minimum of 4 trailers for all the supplies necessary to serve that campus. Our Transportation Team spends approximately 5-8 hours each weekend pulling our trailers to each campus. Estimated Spent: $176,000 Office Construction In 2018, Hope City finished construction on our Central Office facility for our staff, resident staff and volunteers to have a common place to gather, work, and hold team meetings/trainings. Local Missions Lane Report August 2014 October 2018 Hope City Leader: Kaylyn Pate Legacy Leaders: Scott Wynant NEW VISION PROJECTS Hope City Dream Center The mission of the Hope City Dream Center is to create opportunities for people to know God personally, find freedom in a transforming relationship with Him, discover their purpose, and use their gifts and abilities to make a difference in the lives of others. We would love the ability to reach our communities with the love of Christ by meeting both physical and spiritual needs through an avenue like a Dream Center. The plan would be to funnel the majority of our local outreach opportunities through the Hope City Dream Center. We desire to invest money towards the building project campaign, so that the Dream Center can expand its influence and vision throughout our communities. Cost: $2,000,000 Community Missions Scholarship We would like to offer an international mission trip experience to 4 Houston residents (student or adult) that have been connected to the church for at least a year, active in connect groups, and serving regularly on the Dream Team. We aim to broaden their exposure and allow them the opportunity to make an international impact outside of their normal environment. Our belief is that this will catapult them to believe more in how God can use them and not feel confined to the limitations of their surroundings. Estimated Cost: $16,000 Hope City University (HCU) Scholarship We would like to offer a full-ride HCU scholarship to a Hope City member who has been connected to the church for at least a year, active in connect groups, serves regularly on the Dream Team, and feels called to full-time vocational ministry. We fully believe in the vision and training that HCU will offer to those called to full-time ministry, and we would love to invest in someone s future in full-time ministry by sponsoring him/her to attend HCU. Estimated Cost: $16,800 PROGRESS REPORTS Texas Dream Center Through our partnership with the Texas Dream Center, we ve been able to assist the community through various service projects including homeless outreaches, neighborhood cleanups, home restorations, community evangelism, school projects, and more. 300 homeless fed 16,800 meals prepared with food bank Toy Drive: 314 volunteers served 2,500 volunteer hours served 2,000 families came through the doors 5,000 toys given out CONNECTION OPPORTUNITIES First Saturday Serve Outreach We host First Saturday Serve outreaches at each campus offering people an opportunity to serve in their local communities at schools, neighborhoods, nursing homes, and other organizations, so that people are able to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Outreach Connect Groups At Hope City, we believe that life change happens in the context of relationships. That is why we are excited to launch Outreach Connect Groups at every campus in the Spring semester of 2019. If anyone has a passion for helping people discover how God uniquely designed them to serve others through outreach, we would love to have you help us launch Outreach Connect Groups. Texas Dream Center Outreach Opportunities Every month, we partner with the Texas Dream Center to serve our community through various service projects. This enables us to reach people within the areas we reside. First Saturday Serve, monthly outreach opportunities, and the annual toy drive are ways that we are able to work alongside Texas Dream Center and spread the love of Jesus. In 2018 alone, we have financially assisted families across the nation in disaster relief. In the weeks following Hurricane Harvey, Hope City hosted numerous disaster relief teams, mobilized teams of over 2,000 volunteers to aid in flood relief efforts throughout our city, helped with 38 home restoration projects, financially assisted over 43 families, and aided in over 1,000 water rescues. Serve Day 2018 In 2018, Hope City made a remarkable impact on the city of Houston during our annual Serve Day. Serve Day is one day in the month of July dedicated to joining thousands of churches across the globe in a unified effort to meet the needs of our cities physically and spiritually through our serve projects. This year we served over 16,000 people across the city for a total of over 6,799 corporate hours. We look forward to doubling these numbers next year. Free the Captives Building Purchase Since January 2016, Hope City has been an advocate and financial partner to a local anti-human trafficking agency here in Houston called Free the Captives. Free the Captives is unique because their focus is rescuing and resourcing teenage human trafficking victims. With the support of Hope City and other financial donors, churches, and organizations, Free the Captives was able to purchase their new safe house in September 2018 completely debt free. 3
Texas Dream Center Toy Drive In 2017, we partnered with the Texas Dream Center for their annual toy drive to support the families of the Fifth Ward by setting up a shopping mall experience for families in need to be able to pick out their children s Christmas presents. In 2017, we were able to provide over 250 families with Christmas gifts and dinner all in the name of Jesus Christ. This year, we have aimed to serve and fully sponsor all 550 families that attend Bruce Elementary in Fifth Ward with Christmas gifts for each of their children from newborn to 18, as well as provide them with Christmas dinner. Local Missions Giving Since 2014, Hope City has given over $1,083,276 to local missions alone. We truly believe that we are better together and love the opportunity we have to partner with the ministries and churches in our city that are working towards accomplishing our vision of loving God, loving people, and changing the world. Having planted over 809 churches thus far and hundreds more partner churches, ARC has become not only a movement, but a collection of many focused on seeing a life-giving church in every community in the world. Hope City has been able to partner with ARC and see the church as a collective unit grow. Lead Pastors, Morris and Neema Swai, members of Hope City, believe God has ignited a passion in them for the nation of Tanzania and a hunger to see more of our fellow Tanzanians set free and delivered by the power of the gospel. The mission statement for Hope City Tanzania is to love God, love people, and change the world. Estimated Cost: $200,000 Money Given: $8,000 in 2018 OneHope This organization has reached more than a billion children and youth with God s Word. By partnering with OneHope, we would be able to assist in mobilizing aid to hillside villages, sharing hope with the community by supplying needed items to the villagers, and bringing relief and aid to the needs of these communities. Estimated Cost: $75,000 to flood relief in India Hand of Hope We have partnered with Hand of Hope in building 3 churches with water wells in India. The cost of each church/well is $12,500. Estimated Cost: $37,500 For All Mankind Ministries (FAMM): Dubai Nurture Phase Partnership Proposal What FAMM can expect from Hope City: Provide the financial support of $35,000 a year to sponsor about 10% of the annual budget for the Nurture Phase of the FAMM Dubai Movement. Specific and creative prayer coverage for FAMM Dubai. Provide Compassion Kits periodically throughout the life of the partnership. KING OF KINGS COMMUNITY JERUSALEM This organization is a Christ-centered disciple making community committed to proclaiming that Yeshua the Messiah is the only Savior of Israel and the world. With the $25,000 that we were able to sow into King of Kings, we re seeing many come to know Jesus as their Savior. PRAYER Pray for the eyes of the lost to be opened and receptive to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Pray for new believers in Christ. Pray for protection, strength, courage, and that they are full of faith as they witness to their families and communities in a life-changing way. Pray for favor and protection over missionaries, church pastors, and their teams along with their congregation as they spread the gospel of Jesus Christ in very challenging and dangerous places. Pray that the persecuted believer will sense God s presence and connect to the greater body of Christ. Pray for boldness to make Christ known. Pray that the persecuted will be refreshed through God s word and grow in their faith. 4
Next Gen Lane Report January 2015 - October 2018 Hope City Leader: Orok Duke Legacy Leader: Scott Wynant NEW VISION PROJECTS Leadership College / Next Generation: Hope City University (HCU) exists to develop church leaders. Focus: scholarships and buildings Goal: to develop an accredited top-tier Christian College raising up generations of leaders impacting the world for Christ Roster: those passionate to see the next generations of young people equipped to become church leaders Measurables: facilities, academic, and graduation metrics Connection Opportunities: mentor young leaders, offer internships The HCU Evening Program The college will initially launch in the Fall of 2019 with an Evening Program. The Evening Program is designed for working adults pursuing growth in their leadership and ministry at work, home, and church. The Evening Program is a 2 year part-time program delivered in partnership with a Christian institution of higher learning such as Highlands College or South Eastern University. The Evening Program will be held at 7pm on Tuesdays across 2 semesters each year: Fall and Spring. Each session of the Evening Program will consist of ministry leadership and practical training. The ministry leadership training will be streamed from the partner institution. The practical training will be provided by HCU. At launch, a team that is made up of a full-time administrator, a part-time teaching assistant, and a part-time production support team will be needed to run the Evening Program. Cost: $200,000 PROGRESS REPORTS HCU Evening Program Explore the potential and capability of the HCU Evening Program in the Spring of 2019 with a full launch in the Fall of 2019. Enrollment in the pilot will be invitation-only and limited to 5 people. Enrollment in the full launch will be open with a target of 30 people. In order to successfully launch the Evening Program, audio, visual and lighting enhancements, and administrative support will be required. VISION GAP WINS HCU Evening Stream Test The team successfully conducted a test of the stream from Highlands College in August 2018. Learnings were identified and shared with Highlands College. PRAYER Pray for unity in vision, and protection, for HCU faculty and staff. Pray for spiritual maturity in every HCU student. Pray for students to be aware of the enemy s schemes and possess the strength to resist. Pray for divine connections to be made with HCU for the building of the Kingdom and Church.
