Growing Up, Growing Together, Going Out, In Jesus Name! 1 2 3 4 8 Summer is fading into the Fall and our Church calendar is full of abundant opportunities this September and following! How will YOU be part of God s plans and purposes in this new season upcoming? We are learning from Daniel these Sunday mornings, and I love his prayer and praise recorded in chapter 2 for all of us to hear and say our A-mens! Praise be to the name of God for ever and ever; wisdom and power are His! He changes times and seasons; He sets up kings and deposes them. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning. He reveals deep and hidden things; He knows what lies in darkness, and light dwells with Him! I thank and praise You oh God of my fathers: You have given me wisdom and power, You have made known to me what we asked of You, You have made known to us the dream of the king! [Daniel 2:20-23] Please take a few minutes to read through this newsletter and highlight the areas you can respond and participate this coming month as part of Faith Alive U.M. Church. We need each and every person of all ages and abilities to come and share in the life of our Church if we are to fulfill OUR mission and help YOU to fulfill your God-given purposes! One thing I want to point out to everyone is our Fall Open House coming up soon on Sunday Sept. 9 th. Please join us in worship celebrations at our regular times [8:30am Contemporary and 10:45am Traditional] in our Sanctuary and invited others to come join us here as well! During the Sunday School hour we will all be together that day to sing and celebrate with our children as the teachers present awards and some kids move up to new classes! That will be the first 15 minutes or so in the Sanctuary, then we will move to Leah s Room for fellowship and food to share together as one group. We also ask you to take a look at the displays for our Fall Small Groups and Classes upcoming so we can get everyone into groups that will help them grow in Discipleship this season! Also, please note that Sounds of Faith [our Praise Band] and I will be leading a community worship time in the Palmerton Park Gazebo @10:00am, Sat. Sept 8th. What a great opportunity during the Community Festival to lift up the Lord and share His Holy Word with so many who will be out to enjoy that fun setting together! Please come out, invite others, and pray that God will use that time for His glory! Thank you SO MUCH, for ALL the ways that you help us live out our FAITH in Jesus, abundantly ALIVE and growing up in Christ every single day that we live and breathe! In Jesus perfect love [truth and grace] -Pastor Rob Timlin

Palmer, Parkside, and Towamensing Elementary Schools in the Palmerton Area School District. We served 24 students this past school year; providing a total of over 18,000 food items. This year we hope to increase to 28 students. During our past six years of this program, we have served a total of 84 students; providing a total of over 67,000 food items. It is time to restock our shelves for our 7th school year. Please check the information at the Micah Display in the Lobby along with the weekly bulletins and monthly newsletters. Thank you, Micah Backpack Committee The Micah Backpack Program is named for Micah 6:8 He has showed you. O Man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God. Our DREAM when we started this program seven years ago was two-fold: 1. Provide for all Palmerton school children in need grades K to 6. We are getting closer every year! 2. Share our program so other churches and school districts will start their own program. A church in the Northwestern School District ran a program during the summer! A church in the Pleasant Valley School district is starting a program this fall! A church in the Lehighton School District is looking into starting a program this fall! Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Galatians 6:9

Sharing our Faith: Evangelism thoughts Pastor Deb McLean Revelation 14:6-7 NKJV Then I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people saying with a loud voice, Fear God and give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment has come; and worship Him who made heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water.' This end time s revelation is another important step in the closing of the age.
