PURIM THANKS AND THIS IS NO JOKE! Temple Beth-EI held one of its most memorable Purim celebrations ever, and those of you who missed our Purim Pasta Party will have to ask those who were there what you missed. We express our gratitude to the Membership Committee chaired by Kimberly Cohen and Miriam Swerdloff, who sponsored this event. We are also very grateful to Miriam and her Kitchen Crew for preparing the delicious meal that we all enjoyed. We also thank Cantor Averbakh and the members of our volunteer choir, who presented the Purim story like it has never been told before. Earlier on the same day of our Purim Party, some of the children in our religious school and their parents distributed Purim packages to homebound senior citizens in our community. We thank our Sunday school teacher Kay Magilavy and the parents and students who assisted her in perfonning this mitzvah. Here is a note that we received from one of'the.recipients ofa Purim package: "Dear Rabbi Brickman: Please convey our thanks for the wonderful Purim gift that your students have so thoughtfully provided to two shut-ins. I am eating a wonderful Hamantashen at this very moment and enjoying it. Please th4mk the children. and of course, yourself." RELIGIOUS SCHOOL NEWS Religious School will be closed for Passover vacation on Wednesdays March 27 and April 3 Thursday, March 28 Sunday, March 31 We wish all of our religious school students and their families a healthy and happy Passover.
