Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil Activity (Genesis 2) Materials: paper finger paints Instructions: Use finger paints to paint the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil on your paper.

The Tower of Babel (Genesis 11) And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth. Genesis 11:4 KJV

God will provide a lamb. Instructions: connect the dots in alphabetical order to see the lamb. And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering. Genesis 22:8a, KJV

Jacob s Lentil Stew (for use with Jacob & Esau story in Genesis 25) Ingredients: 1 Tbsp. olive oil 1 carrot, cut in small cubes 1 stalk celery, cut in small cubes 1 onion, cut in small cubes 2 cloves of garlic, minced 3/4 cup of lentils, washed 4 cups chicken broth 1 Bay leaf black pepper (to taste) salt (to taste) Directions: Heat the olive oil in medium sauce pan over medium heat. Add carrot, celery and onion and cook until the edges are soft (about 8 minutes) stirring occasionally. Add the lentils, broth, Bay leaf and pepper. Heat at medium high heat until boiling. Once it boils, cover and reduce heat to simmer. Simmer until the lentils are soft (about 30 minutes). Remove from heat, take out the Bay leaf and taste. Add salt and pepper as necessary. Serve. The stew can be made ahead and will keep 2-3 days in the refrigerator. Heat and serve. **This would be fun to make ahead and take to Sunday School for the kids to taste test on the day of this lesson.

Paper Pyramid (For use with story of Joseph in Genesis 39 and following) Instructions: Cut out pyramid and fold on all lines. Fold tabs under and glue. For best results, print on card stock paper.

Jacob s 12 Sons (Exodus 1) Materials: a few sheets of paper ruler pencil scissors Instructions: 1. Cut a sheet of paper to 2x11 inches. 2. Draw the outline of a person on one edge of the paper. Make sure the top of the head touches the top of the paper and the feet touch the bottom. 3. Fold the paper in accordion style so that the hands touch the side edges. 4. Cut off any extra paper too short to fold again. 5. Cut out the person, taking care not to cut the folds where the hands are, so that the chain is not broken. 6. Unfold the paper and you will have a chain of people (sons of Jacob). If necessary complete the process again until you have 12 people total. 7. If you would like to, draw faces, clothing and names on them. Their names can be found in Exodus 1:1-5
