Then he said, Bring them to me, and he ordered the crowds to sit down on the grass. Taking the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, he said the blessing, broke the loaves, and gave them to the disciples who in turn gave them to the crowds. Holy Trinity Parish HOLY TRINITY NEWS OOPS!! There was an inadvertent error on the August monthly calendar distributed last week. Weekly Adoration is on Thursdays from 10:30 AM to 3:00 PM. GOD WANTS YOU!! Can you use a dust cloth and/or run a vacuum cleaner? If you answered yes to one or both of those questions, then this opportunity could be for you! Remember the saying that many hands make light work? We have a small team of dedicated volunteers who clean the church every Thursday morning. They are looking for a few more hands to make the work lighter. If you are interested in joining this ministry, please just show up on any given Thursday at 8:30 AM and plan on giving 90 minutes of your time. The rewards are heavenly!! BOOK CLUB Sycamore Row by John Grisham is the selection for the Book Club meeting on Thursday, August 21st at 7:00 PM in the Parish Center. A wealthy white man in a Mississippi town leaves a handwritten will naming his black maid as primary beneficiary and leaving his family with nothing. The intricacies of the legal system are masterfully displayed by Grisham as the family brings an army of lawyers to dispute this will. All parishioners are invited to attend. MORE THANKS TO THE LADIES GUILD The Ladies Guild has generously donated large mats for the entrances/exits of the church. These mats help trap the dirt from our shoes and they keep our recently cleaned carpets in good shape. A huge thank you to the Ladies Guild for their generous donation. FAMILY PERSPECTIVE Sometimes it isn t the troubles we face that make life hard; it s our fear and doubt that weaken our resolve. The gospel today recounts how Jesus calmed fears and encouraged his followers. We can trust the calming presence of Christ in our family life. Our families can be like Christ when we encourage those facing trouble. Liturgical Minister Schedule SUNDAY AUGUST 17 7:30 A.M. 9:00 A.M. 10:30 A.M.
