Healing Service: Could you use a healing word, prayer, or touch? Join us on August 20 at 12:30 pm in the chapel for a service of healing for heart, mind, body, and soul. The healing service is the third Sunday of each month. Trinity Night at the Senators is rescheduled for Thurs., Aug. 31. If you already bought tickets for the rained-out July 28 game, meet at the main gate, FNB Field, between 5:30 and 6. Dinner at 6, game at 7, fireworks after game. To buy tickets, sign up in the Gathering Space or call Fred Bohls at 717-448-4130. $25 for adults, $15 for kids 12 and under. Price includes dinner, game, fireworks, prize drawing. If you can t make it on August 31 but you paid for rainedout game, call Fred Bohls for refund. Gathering Space Art Exhibit: June Espenshade is a freelance artist from Carlisle who concentrated in art and interior design while earning a bachelor s degree at Messiah College in 1973. Subject matter for her work includes scenes from the Rocky Mountains, the Appalachian Trail, and forests and streams in Central Pennsylvania. You can buy fair-trade coffee, tea, and chocolate in the Gathering Space after services on Sunday. August 27: Blessing of the Backpacks
COMBAT WORLD HUNGER! Your dollars are needed in August for ELCA World Hunger programs. Our goal is $7,500 total, including the $1,190 we raised by selling every bit of bread last weekend thanks to all who baked, donated, and bought. Make checks payable to Trinity; write World Hunger on the memo. Send to office or use the special envelopes in pews or Fellowship Hall. Three members of the Sr. High YG (Vivian Taylor, Rachel Norris, and Erin McHugh) will lead Mission Moments next weekend (August 19-20) at all services. They will highlight the mission trip that we took to New Orleans in July (picture at right). Be there to hear and see what we did. Chancel and Concert Choir rehearsals begin Thursday evening, Aug. 31, at 7 pm. We need all voice parts! School kit collections begin in mid-august through September! Trinity Tutors give much-needed school supplies to Foose, Downey, and Scott elementary school students in Harrisburg. Each kit includes a plastic school supply box, No. 2 pencils, pencil top erasers, a box of 24 crayons, a tissue pack, and a marble composition book. Donate a complete kit, or any items in bulk, or money. Put your items in the school kits area in the Gathering Space.
