Wash your hands with soap and water frequently. Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth. Sign of Peace: Do not be offended if someone chooses not to shake your hand at the sign of peace. If you are ill, the appropriate response to someone extending a sign of peace might be to say: Peace be with you, to avoid contact while sick. Reception of Holy Communion: While it is the teaching of the Church that the fullness of the Body and Blood of Christ is contained in the Holy Eucharist under the form of the host that is distributed at Mass, the Church has also extended the privilege to receive Holy Communion under the form of wine. However, if you are feeling ill, please consider receiving Holy Communion in the hand and refrain from receiving the Precious Blood until you are returned to good health. CHRISTMAS SCHEDULE ST ANTHONY CHURCH CHRISTMAS EVE 4:00 P.M. CHRISTMAS DAY 10:30 A.M. FOURTH SUNDAY OF ADVENT TODAY S FOCUS: MAKING ROOM OUR LADY OF MT. CARMEL BASILICA LET EV RY HEART PREPARE HIM ROOM. This is a message for us not only in these final days before Christmas, but for every day. CHRISTMAS EVE 5:00 P.M. & MIDNIGHT CHRISTMAS DAY 10:00 A.M. & NOON NEW YEARS EVE 5:00 P.M. NEW YEARS DAY NOON Hebrews tells us that by doing God s will, Christ has consecrated us to God, once and for all. Doing God s will mean that we visit our world with the unconditional, merciful love God made visible in Jesus Christ. In these two Advent days, invite Jesus to visit you in prayer. Make time to visit him. Make room in the inn of your heart and carry him into our world. Micah 5: 1-4a Psalm 80:4 Hebrews 10: 5-10 Luke 1: 39-45 Almighty and ever present God, you visited us by becoming one with us in your Son, Jesus Christ. Help us believe that you love and care for us even when we feel small and unworthy. Fill us with your Spirit and help us to visit our sisters and brothers with the fruit of Mary s womb, Jesus.
