The Sealed Scroll (5:1-4) (Ezek 2:9 10) Now when I looked, there was a hand stretched out to me; and behold, a scroll of a book was in it. 10 Then He spread it before me; and there was writing on the inside and on the outside, and written on it were lamentations and mourning and woe.

And he said, Here I am. 2 Then He said, Take now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you.

The Lamb (5:6-7) (Ge 22:6) So Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering and laid it on Isaac his son; and he took the fire in his hand, and a knife, and the two of them went together. 7 But Isaac spoke to Abraham his father and said, My father! And he said, Here I am, my son. Then he said, Look, the fire and the wood, but where is the lamb for a burnt offering? 8 And Abraham said, My son, God will provide for Himself the lamb for a burnt offering. So the two of them went together.

And Abraham built an altar there and placed the wood in order; and he bound Isaac his son and laid him on the altar, upon the wood. And Abraham stretched out his hand and took the knife to slay his son. 11 But the Angel of the Lord called to him from heaven and said, Abraham, Abraham! So he said, Here I am. And He said, Do not lay your hand on the lad, or do anything to him; for now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only son, from Me.

The chief priests answered, We have no king but Caesar! 16 Then he delivered Him to them to be crucified.

He came to the Ancient of Days, And they brought Him near before Him. Then to Him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, That all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion, Which shall not pass away, And His kingdom the one Which shall not be destroyed.
II. Worthy is the Lamb 3. Worthy For What He Has Done He Was Slain on the Cross You are worthy to take the scroll, And to open its seals; For You were slain, (5:9a)
II. Worthy is the Lamb 3. Worthy For What He Has Done He Redeemed Us to God You are worthy to take the scroll, And to open its seals; For You were slain, And have redeemed us to God by Your blood, Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation (5:9b)

Worthy For What He Has Done He Redeemed Us to God You are worthy to take the scroll, And to open its seals; For You were slain, And have redeemed us to God by Your blood, Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation (5:9b) (1 Peter 1:18-19) knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold... but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.

Worthy For What He Has Done He Redeemed Us to God You are worthy to take the scroll, And to open its seals; For You were slain, And have redeemed us to God by Your blood, Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation (5:9b) (Heb 9:12) Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption.

Worthy For What He Has Done He Redeemed Us to God You are worthy to take the scroll, And to open its seals; For You were slain, And have redeemed us to God by Your blood, Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation (5:9b) (Heb 10:19) Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh
II. Worthy is the Lamb 3. Worthy For What He Has Done He Redeemed Us to God (1 Pet 3:21) There is also an antitype which now saves us baptism (not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God), through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, who has gone into heaven and is at the right hand of God, angels and authorities and powers having been made subject to Him.
II. Worthy is the Lamb 3. Worthy For What He Has Done He Made Us a Kingdom of Priests Unto God And have made us kings and priests to our God; And we shall reign on the earth. (5:9c)
WORTHY IS THE LAMB To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood, and has made us to be a kingdom and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. (Revelation 1:5)
