Robert Williams, born 1717 in Chowan Precinct of Albemarle County, North Carolina, was the son of George Williams, Jr., and Sarah Mann. 1722 Bertie Precinct was formed from the part of Chowan Precinct of Albemarle County lying west of the Chowan River, according to Wikipedia.org.
