Volunteers are needed for all jobs - Retta and I will have lists for sign up beginning no later than Sunday, October 21. The total number of individual volunteers required over the course of a week of hosting is 42, not including the leaders. Many of our volunteers continue to help in more than one way each time we host. 21 individuals indicated at our conversation in June that they felt we should continue the ministry and that they were willing to serve as volunteers. As this is half of the number of volunteers required, I believe that the overriding opinion is that we should discontinue our relationship with the ministry. If you disagree, please let me know prior to October 21, as I will plan to notify the leadership of Family Promise, prior to November 1, of our intention to step down as a host church, effective after our host week of November 11 18, 2018. Thanks, Mel Gantney

Saturday, November 10 (only one day) from 9 am to 2 pm Featuring: books, a raffle, baked goods, precious pass-ons and of course, apple dumplings. We will be setting up on Wednesday, November 7 at 10:00 please come to help. We could also use help on Saturday after the bazaar to clean up. Suggested donation items include baked goods, books, and your passons. Used items should be clean and in good condition, no clothing but linens are ok. Please bring any donations by noon on Thursday, Nov 8. Thank you for your support of United Methodist Women. Funds raised from the bazaar go to our units expenses and also to mission projects locally and abroad. Questions, call Connie Hickman 328-6910 Get to know our pastors and hear more about our church!
