In making this application for admission we understand that.. 1. All new students applying for grades K-8 are tested by PCS staff before acceptance and that the testing fee of $25 is nonrefundable and must be included with the application. The administration has full responsibility for grade placement. 2. Our cooperation is expected in: (a) regular tuition payment, (b) practical help, (c) faithful prayer, and (d) special gifts as able. 3. Our child will go on scheduled field trips and other school activities unless the school is notified otherwise. 4. The school reserves the right to dismiss any student who does not respect its spiritual standards or cooperate in the educational process. 5. The school reserves the right to dismiss any student whose parent(s) or legal guardian(s) does not respect its spiritual standards, cooperate in the educational process, follow Biblical procedures for conflict resolution, or that does not fulfill the financial and other obligations (including church attendance) made to the school upon enrollment. 6. Drawing on Biblical instruction in Matthew 18, the P.C.S. Handbook states, Parents who do have questions, concerns, or problems relating to their child or the classroom must first bring these concerns to the attention of the classroom teacher. As brothers and sisters in Christ, both parents and teachers have an obligation to one another to address concerns quickly and directly. Should resolution prove to be impossible, parents and teachers should seek the counsel of the headmaster. In addition, discussion of problems and conflicts with parties inside or outside of the school not directly involved in the resolution should be avoided. As Christians we are required by Scripture to avoid gossip and exhaust all biblical means possible to resolve conflicts and restore broken relationships. Ephesians 4:31-32, Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. The only infallible authority of faith and life is the inspired, infallible, inerrant Word of God, the Bible. 3. There is one God existing in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. 4. The universe, including man, is the creation of God and is preserved and governed by his providence. 5. Man was created good, but by sinning against God, fell into misery, condemnation and death. 6. In his sovereign grace and mercy, God provided redemption through the Lord Jesus Christ, who, being the eternal Son of God, became man, lived a life of perfect righteousness, died on the cross to atone for man s sin, arose from the grave and ascended into heaven that believers might be delivered from judgement, restored to fellowship with God, and called to lives of obedient service. 7. God s plan for this world, as revealed in the Bible, includes the personal return of Jesus Christ, the final judgment of the just and the unjust, the resurrection of the just to eternal life, and the resurrection of the unjust to everlasting death.
