Next, tell them you are going to set the timer and everyone has to do the action you say until the timer goes off. Actions ideas: clapping hands, jumping up and down, or flapping your arms like a bird. Continue playing as long as the children are interested. During the Activity: This is a timer. Watch what happens when I set the timer for five seconds. (Wait with the children for the timer to go off.) That sound means time s up. I m going to set it again. Let s pretend we are birds and flap our arms like wings until the timer goes off. Ready? Let me set the timer. Okay, go! (Flap your arms until the timer goes off.) Time s up! Let s do it again, only this time let s hop like a bunny. (Continue playing and as you do say, Time s up, each time the timer goes off.) After the Activity: Time s up! But time will never be up on God s love. The Bible says God loves us all the time. I m going to put this clock picture on the wall with our other pictures to remind us that God loves us all the time. (Tape the clock symbol to the wall.) Let s see if we remember what our other story pictures mean. (Point to the Bible.) The Bible tells us that (point to the heart) love is always the way to go. We can (point to praying hands) talk to God anytime. Sharing our stuff makes people happy (point to the smiley face).
