19th Sunday In Ordinary Time August 13, 2017 FROM THE DESK OF FR. FALLON Hi Everyone! One of my favorite things to do is to sneak up on my family members and scare them. Usually it's the little "AH!" That gets them instead of the big, booming BOO! The look on their face is priceless. This happened to me a couple of weeks ago when I was walking around the church at night--during a thunderstorm. Someone (who will remain nameless) was locking up and scared me half to death. I'm reconsidering my scare tactics and promise I won't scare any of you! We have a lot to be afraid of in our lives, some startling things and others that are downright terrifying. But Jesus reminds us in our Gospel to BE NOT AFRAID. I think we forget that sometimes when we're going through scary things; He's right beside us and wants to guide us. Something to think about: are we letting fear of life's events dominate, or are we allowing the Lord to be our strength? In whom shall I be afraid? Nothing'! Peace and Prayers for You, Fr. Fallon PARISH RUMMAGE SALE One man s junk is another man s treasure On Saturday, August 26 from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, the parish will have its annual Rummage Sale in the Gym.
