You know my needs, my trials, my sufferings. Mother of Mercy, I beseech you to hear my prayer, and to obtain for me from your Divine Son the favors I seek in this Novena. (Here make your requests) O Mother most pure, guide me in dangers, enlighten me in doubts, strengthen me in temptation, and help me to bear the crosses of life in union with your Son, so that one day, with you, I might share His glory. Amen. The Memorare Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession, was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy hear and answer me. Amen. Add Rosary

He never tires of casting open the doors of His heart and of repeating that He loves us and wants to share His love with us The Church is called above all to be a credible witness to mercy, professing it and living it as the core of the revelation of Jesus Christ. Bishop Thomas J. Olmsted said that Pope Francis pointed out two aspects of the Year of Mercy: strengthening of the faith of believers through a personal encounter with Christ s mercy, which is meant to enrich the work of the evangelization of non-believers. Pope Francis expressed the hope that as we are touched by God s compassion, we also can become compassionate toward others. Let us pray for the grace to be effective signs of the Father s mercy to others. Opening Ceremony and Mass for the Jubilee Year of Mercy Sunday, December 13, 3 p.m. Ss. Simon and Jude Cathedral 6351 N. 27 th Ave. W. of I-17 between Bethany & Glendale Advent is a time of vigilance, prayer and conversion. - St. John Paul II December Program Highlights Bishop Thomas Olmsted Bishop Eduardo Nevares Fr. James Kubicki, SJ, Apostleship of Prayer Timely Prayers of St. Faustina Appropriate Reflections for Advent and the Jubilee Year of Mercy I want to be completely transformed into Your mercy and to be Your living reflection, O Lord. May the greatest of all divine attributes pass through my heart to my neighbor. Help me, that my eyes may be merciful, so that I may give heed to my neighbors needs and not be indifferent to their pains and moanings. Help, O Lord, that my tongue may be merciful so that I should never speak negatively of my neighbor but have a word of comfort and forgiveness for all. The above are excerpts from a prayer of St. Faustina, whom Jesus called The Secretary of My Divine Mercy. - from Magnificat Year of Mercy Companion During this Year of Mercy, Radio Family Rosary Newsletter will continue to offer reflections on the appreciation and practice of Mercy. Immaculate Conception Tuesday, December 8 This feast is now most important to America because Mary, under the title of the Immaculate Conception, is Patroness of our country. Never before has our nation so needed Mary s maternal protection, inter-cession and guidance. Many Catholics may not realize that the Immaculate Conception refers not to the virgin birth, but to Mary s own sinless conception in the womb of St. Anne. The merits of Christ s redemptive act were bestowed on Mary in advance. He is indeed her Savior. Mary is rightly called the Mother of Mercy because Jesus, Mercy itself, was born of her. Fr. James M. Sullivan, OP, writing in Magnificat, December, 2015, said that Mary helps us to think differently about everything in our life, everything that has been given to us by our merciful Father.

A SPECIAL CHRISTMAS APPEAL Our Lady s Rosary Program needs your help. December 2015 Dear Friend of Our Lady, History has demonstrated the power of Our Lady s Rosary over seemingly insurmountable odds. The best known example is the 1571 victory over the Muslim Turks at Lepanto. Today our nation and our world are faced with major battles on all fronts: terrorist attacks, religious persecutions, martyrdom, destruction of churches, people forced to flee their homes, corruption of youthful innocence, disintegration of marriage and family life, secularization and blatant militant atheism. These conditions cry out for our Blessed Mother s consolation and intercession in the conversion of hearts and the protection of everyone, everywhere. St. John XXIII referred to the Rosary as David s sling, the instrument of faith capable of withstanding the Goliaths of modern problems. The Radio Family Rosary presents an opportunity to unite with countless others in an army of prayer to Our Lady. The 6:30 a.m. time has brought numerous new listeners, many praying as they drive to work. For others this early hour may entail sacrifice, but sacrifice added to prayer makes prayer even more meritorious. And, at anytime and anywhere, others are joining the Rosary via internet. Everyone can be part of this army of prayer. RFR, by far the longest running Catholic radio program in the Valley, is unique in local participation: local groups recording the Rosary, local events promoted, local guest speakers, as well as guests of national and international acclaim. Our goal is to have ALL local Catholic organizations and ministries participate on the Program by leading the Rosary. The success of RFR is the result of prayer, work and generosity on the part of various people. The Program is confronted with continuing increases in expense. It is our hope that everyone will respond to this Christmas Appeal to help keep Our Lady s Rosary on the air. Every donation is important. As you seek Mary s powerful maternal aid and give thanks for your many blessings, please prayerfully consider a Christmas donation. You may choose donation(s) in honor of someone or in memory of someone. This is a thoughtful gift for people who have everything. We will send a card of acknowledgement to the person or persons you designate, notifying them of your special remembrance. The amount will be expressed only as a generous donation. Thank you for praying about and responding to this request. During the Holy Season of Christmas we will ask Fr. John Vincent, OSC, of the Crosier Community, to offer an additional Mass for members of our Radio Rosary Family. Your loyal support evokes our heartfelt gratitude. May the Holy Family of Bethlehem bring graces and joy to you and your loved ones. The Radio Family Rosary Board Please mail your Christmas offering to Radio Family Rosary, Inc., P.O.
