Kevin Harkness & Jason Laronde et al. 1 08-Jul-06- I am at Jason Laronde s new property on Serenity Lane off of Hwy. 17 5:30pm just west of North Bay. Kevin Harkness is also present. During some of our conversation Kevin and Jason appear to be acting weird about the conspiracy against. It was as if they were discounting what I had said to them in the past. The appear to disbelieve what I have said and make snide comments about it. (***- I am not sure what is going on). So I start playing along and say to them that they will never know what it is like to have everyone against you. At one point, Jason and I are hammering re-bar and I ask him if he needs somebody to help build his house. (***- I bait Jason to see what his response is. I said you could pay me under the table and Jason says no. that this is the reserve- This was odd.) (***I was not sure what to think of their behaviors but I would put it in my memory bank and keep monitoring them.)
Kevin Harkness & Jason Laronde et al. 2 14-Jul-06-3:36pm I receive a telephone call from Kevin Harkness at my home in Barrie. Kevin stated that he got off from work early and that he was at home. Kevin asked me what I was doing and wanted me to come to North Bay. Kevin stated that we are concerned about you. I said that is funny it appears that everybody wants to get me out of Barrie for this weekend. I said that a couple of other guys wanted to get me up to the Manitoulin s for the weekend to help move rocks. I said something to the fact there everybody is in on this. Kevin states that you must have done something for everyone to be against you. Kevin then asks What did you do? (***At this moment I know Kevin knows something and he definitely is involved himself. At this time I will play along and also bait Kevin & Jason.) I do not say anything as I am not sure what he is implying. I end up saying to him that I am going to get ready and come to North Bay. (***I want to try and find out information from them.)
Kevin Harkness & Jason Laronde et al. 3 14-Jul-06-9:00pm We are sitting out the back on Kevin Harkness s deck. (Corinna Harkness, Kevin Harkness & myself.) Kevin out of the blue states let s go for a drive. Kevin also states that we ll take his van since I have not been in his van. (***- Once again I play along but I say we can take my car.) Kevin insists that we take his van. Kevin says lets go for a drive to the waterfront. (I find this odd). We end up leaving and going to Jason Laronde s. During the ride to Jason s, Kevin states what did you do? Did you kill somebody? A couple of moments later Kevin states did you get really drunk one night and rape somebody. While at Jason s I said to Kevin it is really odd that you asked me those questions in the van. Kevin says I know and that he should not have said anything.
Kevin Harkness & Jason Laronde et al. 4 15-Jul-06-9:45am I am asking Kevin Harkness about what he knows and Jason Laronde said it is not necessarily what he knows but who he is working for. I said yeah. At about 10:30am, Kevin Harkness and I are having a discussion. I continue to ask Kevin what he knows. I said that the whole world is against me. I said wait until I go ballistic then people will wake-up. I made sure Kevin was attentive for this. (***I baited Kevin here to see if he would sell me out and if this would come out later.)
Kevin Harkness & Jason Laronde et al. 5 15-Jul-06-11:15pm Kevin and I go up to the Laronde residence. On the way up I tell Kevin that if him and Jason know anything that I will tear them a new asshole. (***Once again, I bait Kevin to see if he will sell me out or this will come out later.) Upon arriving Kevin ensures to tell Jason about this Laurie is also present. Laurie stated that these are your friends and they are here to help. We play Euchre at Jason s. Kevin and I are partners and Jason and Laurie are partners. After playing three games of Euchre into the wee hours of the morning, Kevin starts to be condescending to me. I look at Kevin. (***I said do not single me out. I said I ll throw you through the fucking window. Kevin said you have been waiting for that all night Derek haven t you. Kevin proceeded to the kitchen, Laurie left the room and I got up out of my chair. I pretended to go in a rage. I started yelling at Kevin you ll never know what I have been through. I punched an element on Jason & Laurie s stove. I grabbed Kevin by his shirt and pushed him up against the counter. I never hit him. Jason entered the kitchen. I let go of Kevin and looked at Jason and said I appreciate you coming to his rescue.) (*** I baited them all to see if they would sell me out or this would come back later.) (***They will never think that I did this on purpose, they will say that this was real and that I went into a rage.)
Kevin Harkness & Jason Laronde et al. 6 16-Jul-06-10:30am I went up to Jason Laronde s after trying to contact Kevin Harkness at home. Corinna stated that Kevin was not home and she thought he was at Jason s. Upon arriving at Jason s, Kevin was not there. I did my formal apology to Jason on his deck. I said that I apologize and hope I did not wake up his kids. Jason said no they sleep like rocks. Jason and I talk for about 10-15 minutes. I said to Jason that if he knows that there is something going on that he may not be at liberty to say. Jason said to me he was not sure what may happen but his advice to me was to concentrate about what was going on in Barrie. I asked Jason when Kevin left and he said almost an hour ago. I said to apologize to Laurie as she was still sleeping or I would have done so myself. I used Jason s phone to call Kevin s place before I left. Corinna stated he was not home yet. (Kevin was not home- I found this to be very odd.) After leaving Jason s I drove to Kevin s and sat and talked to him and Corinna on their deck. While at Kevin s- Jason called to ask Kevin to help him out at his property- I found this to be odd. (*** I believe that Kevin & Jason were probably going to the North Bay Police to inform them of events last night.)
Kevin Harkness & Jason Laronde et al. 7 04-Aug-06-6:32pm Kevin Harkness calls my home and leaves me a message to call him, he is at his sister s now. Kevin leaves his sister s number 497-1214 or to call him on his cell. Kevin says to give him a shout.

Hey Derek it is Kev, anyway, trying to get a hold of you, it is the long weekend, just wondering what you are doing, give me a shout. I gave you Kim s number, my cell number is 498-7642. Kevin Harkness & Jason Laronde et al. 9 05-Aug-06-6:25pm I returned Kevin Harkness s telephone calls. Kevin and I discuss the fact that he is now at his sister s again. Kevin stated that his parents had invited him and the kids over for a swim at their place so Kevin took the kids over to his parents for a swim. Kevin stated that he got in shit for that. Kevin said he told Corinna that that was it that he had had enough. We discussed the golf. We discussed how well Tiger Woods was playing. Kevin asked me what I was doing I told him about trying to fix my lawnmower. I told Kevin that my mom was coming down tomorrow and that we were going to the baseball (Blue Jays) game on Monday. Kevin said Oh, I was thinking of coming down and we could go play some golf. We discussed this and agreed that he would not be coming down. Kevin stated that he had just come back to his house to get some beer to take to Jason s property. Kevin stated that he did not even know whether Jason was there or not but he was going to go up to the property anyway. Kevin stated that maybe he would get down next weekend for some golf. (to my place in Barrie). Kevin asked me if my neighbour had a lawnmower. I said that they were gone to North Bay for the weekend. Kevin asked if their garage was open. I said I don t know. Kevin wanted me to check, so I played along (in case he was trying to bait me). I went and checked and joked with Kevin about my fingerprints being on their garage door and the police showing up.
Kevin Harkness & Jason Laronde et al. 10 09-Aug-06-6:45pm I returned Jason Laronde s message he left on my answering machine. Message will be transferred to an audio-tape. Jason answered his cell phone and he stated that he was banging a couple of boards together. I asked Jason how his house was coming. Jason stated that he has some problems with the weepers but now that is done. Jason stated sorry that he missed me when I was in town. I said that I was dogsitting and that I was out at my dad s more than I was in town anyway. Jason said dogsitting- (***-Jason appeared to be surprised but also appeared to know something.) Jason moved on from topic. Jason stated that J. P. Dumont was picked up by the Stars. I said really. We talked about it. J. P. Dumont was not signed by the Sabres. I asked Jason if Harkness (Kevin Harkness) was up at his property on the weekend- (last weekend 05-Aug-06-06-Aug-06). Jason said that he did not see Harkness over the weekend. Jason said that Harkness was on his own again. I said yeah I know. (*** I found this to be odd as Kevin had told me on Saturday that he was getting beer to go back up to Jason s property.) I told Jason that I had talked to Kevin but I was not sure when it was. (***- I knew that it was Saturday but wanted to see what Jason s response was.) I informed Jason that Kevin had informed me that his parents had invited him and the family over for a swim. Kevin apparently took his children over to his parents and Corinna did not like that. (***- Jason said Oh, yeah- Laurie did tell me about that as she spoke to Lisa. Jason stated that Lisa told Kevin to take the kids over to his parents as Kevin apparently talked to Lisa about this. I discussed the fact that Kevin and Corinna can not live with each other but can not live without each other. I said that I hope that it works out for both of them. I said that if they are going to do something that they need to do it.
Kevin Harkness & Jason Laronde et al. 11 09-Aug-06-6:45pm (continued) I said that they other way must be very hard. We talked about this for a a couple of minutes. I asked Jason if had any help with his house. Jason stated that his brother Mark had been up to help him. I said that Greg McKinnon had had some extra tickets to the Argo game recently and that I had called Mark and he went. (***Jason said Oh you went to that. It was if Jason already knew but was just asking.) I asked Jason if he was going to be working on his house this weekend and he said yes. I said well if I am in town that I would give him a hand. Jason asked if I was coming to town. I said I was not sure if I wanted to make the drive or not. I said I will let you go. Jason said keep it real brother, I said yeah you to.

If I would have been in your shoes and was on the other side I know what I would have done. It would not have been becoming a police officer as you, Harkness and McKinnon have decided to do. Anyway, enough of the crap. I hope everything is all right with you family, job and building of your new house. How is the house coming? I thought I would write as opposed to talking on the phone.
