The Lord s Day CALL TO WORSHIP Hebrews 10:19-25 Leader: All: Leader: All: SONGS OF PRAISE Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, His body, and since we have a Great Priest over the house of God, let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another and all the more as you see the Day approaching. Oh, How Good It Is WORDS & MUSIC: Keith Getty, Kristyn Getty, Ross Holmes, Stuart Townend, 2012 Oh, how good it is when the family of God Dwells together in spirit, in faith and unity. Where the bonds of peace, of acceptance and love, Are the fruit of His presence here among us. So with one voice we ll sing to the Lord, And with one heart we ll live out His word Till the whole earth sees the Redeemer has come. For He dwells in the presence of His people. Oh, how good it is on this journey we share To rejoice with the happy and weep with those who mourn. For the weak find strength, the afflicted find grace, When we offer the blessing of belonging. Oh, how good it is to embrace His command To prefer one another, forgive as He forgives. When we live as one we all share in the love Of the Son with the Father and the Spirit. He has done great thing, we will say together, We will feast and weep no more. We will not be burned by the fire, He is the LORD our God. We are not consumed by the flood Upheld, protected, gathered up. In the dark of night, before the dawn, My soul, be not afraid. For the promised morning, oh how long? Oh God of Jacob, be my strength. Every vow we ve broken and betrayed You are the Faithful One. And from the garden to the grave Bind us together, bring shalom. SCRIPTURE READING Ephesians 4:22-32 CONFESSION OF SIN ASSURANCE OF PARDON How marvelous are all your provisions for us, O God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; You have created us in your own image and supplied our every need. Yet we have been ungrateful children, unthankful and unholy, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God. Our lips have spoken lies and our tongues have muttered wicked things against You and our neighbors. Forgive us, O Lord, by the grace that is in Jesus Christ our Savior who has died to redeem us. Put a new song in our hearts, one of praise and thanksgiving to You, so that many may see it and fear and trust in our God. Amen.
SONG OF ASSURANCE Holy Spirit, Living Breath WORDS & MUSIC: Keith Getty & Stuart Townend, 2005 Sermon Notes Holy Spirit, living Breath of God, Breathe new life into my willing soul. Bring the presence of the risen Lord To renew my heart and make me whole. Cause Your Word to come alive in me; Give me faith for what I cannot see; Give me passion for Your purity. Holy Spirit, breathe new life in me. Holy Spirit, come abide within; May Your joy be seen in all I do Love enough to cover ev ry sin In each thought and deed and attitude, Kindness to the greatest and the least, Gentleness that sows the path of peace. Turn my striving into works of grace. Breath of God, show Christ in all I do. Holy Spirit, from creation s birth, Giving life to all that God has made, Show your power once again on earth; Cause Your church to hunger for Your ways. Let the fragrance of our prayers arise. Lead us on the road of sacrifice That in unity the face of Christ Will be clear for all the world to see. INTERCESSORY PRAYER OFFERING Please place visitor cards in the offering plate SCRIPTURE READING Song of Songs 6:4-8:4 SERMON COMMUNION SONG Celebratory Speech New Wine WORDS & MUSIC: Brooke Ligertwood, 2018 In the crushing, in the pressing You are making new wine. In the soil, I now surrender, You are breaking new ground. So I yield to You and to Your careful hand, When I trust You I don t need to understand. Make me Your vessel, make me an offering, Make me whatever You want me to be. I came here with nothing, but all You have given me Jesus, bring new wine out of me. Where there is new wine there is new power, There is new freedom, The Kingdom is here. I lay down my old flames to carry Your new fire today.
