Are you free on Wednesday 18th April between 9.30 and 11.30 am? There are students from our latest Early Interventions course (Eliv8), who are interested in these jobs, and would love to meet you. Some of these students have struggled in various ways, and could do with concentrating more on their interests and strengths, with a view to being affirmed in who they are/how valuable they are! Could you help? Do you know anyone who could? We would love to hear from you. You will also get to cheer them on, as they receive their certificates for the course, and support them in that way! Tel: 210207 'Thy Kingdom Come' Prayer Area: A dedicated prayer area has been created in a corner of St. Peter's Chapel in the Barn. This will allow a private & undisturbed prayer space for our use during the 'Year of Prayer', either as individuals, or for the prayer vigils to be arranged. You are welcome to come and use this area any time during office hours (Mon-Fri 10am- 2pm) EXCEPT Tue 1-2pm and Wed 11am-12.30pm. St.Mary's now has a good selection of high class, hand crafted with a Christian message, very reasonably priced greetings cards for sale, alongside the marmalade and cake, in the bell tower. Please do come along and see! We have cards for most occasions including the obvious, like birthday and anniversary but also sympathy, new home, congratulations (on exams/driving test/new birth) baptism/christening and "just because". Proceeds go to charities and our own Thanks a Million Fund. Coming soon Training Morning in Intercessory Prayer for everyone in Horsham Deanery: Saturday 14th April, 10.00 to 1.00pm here at St. Mary's Horsham If our prayer life has become tired and flat, or if we are no longer praying for others as we once did... or if we aren't sure how to get started in intercessory prayer... let's come and be inspired and refreshed! All St Mary s congregation are warmly encouraged to come the course is free - it would help to let the office know numbers for the refreshments for the mid morning coffee break. Flower Festival 14-18th June: Our theme for this year s Flower Festival is Inspired based on books, musicals and Art inspired by the Christian story. The Flower Festival is always very popular, a great way of outreach to the town and a great way of raising funds. Last year it raised an amazing 4500! Its success is very dependent on sponsorship and donations mainly from local businesses and churches to cover the costs of the flowers for the arrangements and for stocking the cafe. If anyone would like to consider sponsoring an arrangement or giving a donation (however small) it would be greatly appreciated.
