#297 Hosanna, Loud Hosanna Hosanna to the Son of David! Hosanna in the highest! --Matthew 21:9 Hosanna, loud hosanna, The little children sang; Through pillared court and temple, The lovely anthem rang. To Jesus, who had blessed them, Close folded to His breast; The children sang their praises, The simplest and the best. From Olivet they followed, Mid an exultant crowd; The victory palm branch waving, And chanting clear and loud. The Lord of men and angels, Rode on in lowly state; Nor scorned the little children, Should on His bidding wait. Hosanna in the highest! That ancient song we sing; For Christ is our Redeemer, The Lord of heaven, our King. O may we ever praise Him With heart and life and voice; And in His holy presence Eternally rejoice! Text: Jeanette Threlfall; Music: From Gesangbuch der Herzogl, 1784 In the Public Domain #296 Hosanna Hosanna to the Son of David! Hosanna in the highest! --Matthew 21:9 Hosanna, Hosanna, Hosanna in the highest! Hosanna, Hosanna, Hosanna in the highest! Lord, we lift up Your name, With hearts full of praise; Be exalted, O Lord my God! Hosanna in the highest! Mark 11:1-11 New International Version (NIV) As they approached Jerusalem and came to Bethphage and Bethany at the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent two of his disciples, saying to them, Go to the village ahead of you, and just as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there, which no one has ever ridden. Untie it and bring it here. If anyone asks you, Why are you doing this? say, The Lord needs it and will send it back here shortly. They went and found a colt outside in the street, tied at a doorway. As they untied it, some people standing there asked, What are you doing, untying that colt? They answered as Jesus had told them to, and the people let them go. When they brought the colt to Jesus and threw their cloaks over it, he sat on it. Many people spread their cloaks on the road, while others spread branches they had cut in the fields. Those who went ahead and those who followed shouted, Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Blessed is the coming kingdom of our father David! Hosanna in the highest heaven! Jesus entered Jerusalem and went into the temple courts. He looked around at everything, but since it was already late, he went out to Bethany with the Twelve. May the Lord bless this reading of His holy Word: And to His name be honor and glory. Amen! Glory, glory, glory to the King of kings! Glory, glory, glory to the King of kings! Lord, we lift up Your name, With hearts full of praise; Be exalted, O Lord my God! Glory to the King of kings! Text & Music: Carl Tuttle Copyright 1985 by Mercy/Vineyard Publishing CCLI #563168

#302 Lamb of God Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world! --John 1:29 Your only Son, no sin to hide, But You have sent Him from Your side To walk upon this guilty sod, And to become the Lamb of God. Refrain Your gift of love they crucified, They laughed and scorned Him as He died; The humble King they named a fraud, And sacrificed the Lamb of God. Refrain I was so lost I should have died, But You have brought me to Your side To be led by Your staff and rod, And to be called a lamb of God. Refrain Refrain: Oh Lamb of God, sweet Lamb of God; I love the holy Lamb of God. Oh wash me in His precious blood. Vs 1 & 2: My Jesus Christ the Lamb of God. Vs 3: Till I am a lamb of God.
