FROM THE BISHOP S PEN Dear Friend in Jesus, As I read Scriptures that I have read over the years I am amazed at how the Spirit of God will speak to me. It s what happened last week as I was meditating on the Word during my final days of vacation... It was the turning point in a dilemma the disciples were facing because Jesus had instructed them to feed the multitude. All seemed lost, without hope totally overwhelming at the point of not enough until the little lad offered his lunch. He probably didn t look like much but his willingness to aid the Kingdom made him a Game Changer. I heard it down in my spirit the words Game Changers! YOUR GAME CHANGING MOMENT You may be at a point in life where you need a game changing moment; as you become a Kingdom Game Changer, you will experience game changing moments in your life. In the coming days it will be this Prophetic Word that we will rally around that will affect the hungry multitudes in our generation. Our little bit (our time, our talent and our treasure) will go a long way in the Kingdom. New Light is 100% stronger today than we were last year at this time because of the faithfulness of our members. We are totally caught up and pushing to recover all. Praise God! We are still in the tedious process of repositioning our major capital debt and believing for the favor of God in this process. It s time to do more than ever before to touch the lost and hurting. Most churches scale back over the summer months but the Holy Spirit said this is a time of pressing for us. INTRODUCING E-GIVING: CONVENIENT Kingdom stewardship is taught throughout the pages of the Scripture and is most important to the plan of God for the believer. The integrity of our ministry has stood the test of time and even in the toughest of times we have been able to provide quality ministry. Your faithfulness in sowing your tithes and offerings not only insures God s choice blessings on your life, but it also makes it possible for your church to touch others with the Gospel. MAKING GIVING MORE CONVENIENT As technology has evolved, financial transactions are now more convenient to consumers and has become a priority to most businesses. From our government to the department stores, it is plain to see that we are moving towards a paperless society. New Light has always stayed on the cutting edges so providing more convenient methods of giving using modern technology is most appropriate. Convenience, ease and security are the priority in making this transition. Of course you know, no one will be forced to change and the traditional method of giving will remain in place. There are several new methods of electronic giving we introduced in the past that we now want to encourage members to use in their Kingdom stewardship. When you make a minimum donation of $10.00, using these new methods, you will receive a MP3 download valued at $30.00! This is our way of showing our appreciation to you for taking this step to help us upgrade this area of our ministry. Think of the impact and freedom this new style of giving affords you. When on vacation and watching church services on the internet you can go online or use your smart phone to participate pate at the offering period. Think of how simple it will be to download CD series and purchase other resources using your mobile device. Or if an emergency arises and you can t get to church, taking care of your Kingdom responsibility and activating the grace of God through obedience is easy! PROGRESS CAUSE FOR CHANGE... Every step of progress in life comes with deliberate purposeful effort. We are where we are today as a nation and as a church because we made deliberate efforts to accept productive change. INFELLOWSHIP New Light Church is excited to introduce a new feature on our website called InFellowship. InFellowship is a feature of our new church management system Fellowship One. InFellowship is a secure easy to access online tool that allows you to access and update your contact information, view your Groups/Excellence Teams, and contribute online. TO CREATE AN INFELLOWSHIP ACCOUNT: 1. Go to newlight.org (members section) and choose the InFellowship Link 2. Click Sign-Up and follow the simple prompts Each individual much sign up with a unique e-mail address to use the system. User login accounts cannot be shared amongst household members. Be sure to check your inbox for a confirmation message with instructions to complete the registration. If you signed up using information we already have on record, you will be able to access the features immediately. If you don t see all the links, your new InFellowship account will be linked with the existing information within a few days. The Online Feature of InFellowship adds convenience and security to your generous gifts. You can set up one-time or automated giving. The InFellowship feature gives you the ability to see your giving for the current and previous year and print your giving statements. MOBILE GIVING You can also donate securely using your mobile device using one of two ways: 1. Download the New Light Christian Center Church mobile app for your Apple or Android device. Go to www.newlight.org/mobileapp for the links for your device. Choose the Online Giving link. 2. Text newlight to 71441 you will receive a text back with a link to give online. After you reach the Online Giving page, you will be prompted to key in your email address. You will then be taken to a page to register your account or enter your password if your account is already activated. After your account is set up you will then just key in the amount and the fund you would like to donate to and your credit card information is already stored.
ONLINE GIVING To donate from your laptop or personal computer, click the online giving link on the newlight.org homepage. This form allows you to donate securely by credit or debit card. On this page, you will be able to add your envelope/member number and send us a message by adding information in the comments section. This is one of our most popular giving solutions. While in front of your computer you can just key in your information and choose your fund and your card is automatically processed. Remember to give us your e-mail address so you can receive an immediate receipt. ON-SITE GIVING Giving is also available by receiving an envelope during one of our many worship services. This envelope can be placed in the offering bucket during the offering part of our service or by placing the envelope in one of the late offering slots. You may use cash, check or complete a credit card slip for us to process your card. In case you miss the offering portion of our service, offering envelopes are available at all the information counters at any of our locations. You may complete the envelope at your convenience and place the offering in the late offering slot. Late offering slots are located in the lobby of all locations. These slots are a secure way to drop your missed offering envelopes, registration envelopes and any cards not turned in when the ushers collected offering. These slots are marked with the words late offering. After the ushers have retrieved the offering they have been instructed not to receive an offering envelope; please do not attempt to get an usher to take your offering to the late offering slot. The ushers should not ever receive your offering envelop after the offering is complete or without the presence of two or more ushers.
