Eric Freed's popular seminars are every Wednesday except the last Wednesday of the month. They will be held at the Newman Center just up the hill from Health Sport in Arcata at 700 Union Street at 7:30 pm. This session will be on the letters of St. Paul. Fr. St. Bernards Church in Eureka is installing an elevator in the church hall and bidding for the job starts Friday June 15 th. The job involves demolition of an old stairway and construction of a new ADA one, as well as construction of the elevator shaft. We are seeking qualified, licensed contractors to bid on the job. Mass will start at noon at the picnic grounds with the picnic starting at 12:45 pm. Families with last name starting with A to M, please bring Salads and families last names starting with N to Z, please bring Desserts. The Knights of Columbus will be cooking hamburgers and hot dogs and there will be baked beans, lemonade and ice tea, all of which will be provided. Also we will be having our famous snow cones and face painting. Free admission to park and carpooling is advised. We also need volunteers for cleanup. Sisters 100 th Jubilee Celebration The Sisters weekend Jubilee Celebration will begin Friday evening June 22, 2012 with an evening reception and program at the Adorni Center in Eureka; the reception will begin at 5:30 pm, followed by the program at 7:00 pm. The following day, Saturday, a Meet and Greet Brunch will take place at the Adorni Center at 10:00 am. There will be time for food, visiting, looking at old photos, telling stories, along with a free Pilgrimage Bus Tour which will take interested people to historic places and sites where the sisters served or influenced. (Note: Reservations are required to reserve a seat on the bus tour. RSVP by calling (707) 269-3601. Self-guided tours will also be offered.) Sunday there will be a Mass of Jubilee Celebration and Thanksgiving at St. Bernard Church in Eureka at 10:00 am. Followed by a reception in the Parish Hall.
