First Presbyterian Church of Ionia July 8, 2018 Seventh Sunday after Pentecost Order Of Worship Prelude Chimes of the hour Introit Hymn (Insert) Jesus, Remember Me Welcome and Announcements *Call To Worship Pastor: Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Congregation: Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Pastor: Know that the Lord is God. It ishe who made us and we are his; Congregation: we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. *those who are able, please stand

Pastor: Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. Congregation: For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations. *Hymn Insert The Summons Prayer of Confession (in Unison) God, just as you called the disciples so long ago, so you call each one of us to speak and act on your behalf in our world today. Forgive us when we are hesitant to follow; when we question your call or make excuses for our inabilities; when we complain about our lack of time or hoard our resources. In your mercy grant us repentance, so that we may have courage to step out in faith, to go where you send us without hesitation or fear, trusting that your presence goes with us, and that you will provide all that we need. Amen

Kyrie Hymn 572 Lord, have mercy upon us, Christ have mercy upon us, Lord have mercy upon us. Assurance of Pardon Hear again the good news: Jesus grace is sufficient for us all, even in our weakest moments. Jesus grace is sufficient for us to be forgiven in his name. Receive that grace and rejoice in the power to live in his strength. Amen. Passing of the Peace Pastor: Christ has given us peace that surpasses all understanding. The peace of Christ be with you!
