Last Sabbath at Epping Thanks Rod & Elaine for the photos 22nd February Last week, it was Combined Sabbath School at 9:30am with a presentation on Epping Church s Mission Trip to Sri Lanka and the fantastic experience and success over there. Many of the adults and children shared a short summary of their trip. This was followed by a few other items of the agenda. Another big item was Ashleigh s farewell as she is sadly leaving us to study interstate. She shared her testimony with the church and how God has a plan for each of our lives and how prayer can be such an important thing.
Following Combined Sabbath was our regular divine Service. Band led the song service with Maree spreading the word with the sermon.
Sermon Title: Where is your faith? Sermon taken by: Maree Worker Psalm 37:25 MOSES Saved at birth Flees to Midian Marries Zipporah-daughter of Jethro-the Priest of Midian Burning Bush (Exodus 3) God waits for Moses to approach him (vs 3,4) God reminds Moses who he is to the Israelites (vs 5,6) God tells Moses the plans he has for him-these were NOT plans that Moses had for himself (vs 7-11) How will people believe me? (vs 12) I AM WHO I AM (vs 13) Moses life didn t follow a path that he would have necessarily chosen God told Moses that he would send many signs to the people before Pharaoh would let them go JOB His life didn t go according to plan; at the end of his defence of himself when speaking with his friends, he tells what his life used to be like: Job 29 Job s testing was really not about Job at all-but Job learnt from it Job 42:1-6 THE LESSONS.. Empty Glass, full glass (Romans 9:14-23) THE TIMING OF GOD Psalm 37:1-9 - Stop wasting time on worrying and trying to understand. God has our lives sorted out, in HIS way and in HIS time. Let s get God back on the throne where he belongs! John 20:29 - You believe because you see me When bad things happen, we need to trust and have faith- it delights the devil when we question God All things work together for good.. God has the power to take the worst things the devil throws at us, and turn it around for His good and His kingdom. You serve God with your heart, not your mind! You cannot figure God out, your faith must step in, and you trust in the maker of the universe DO YOU STILL HAVE FAITH? Jesus calms the storm (Mark 4:35-41) Next Jesus heals the demon possessed man Jesus heals in response to faith (Mark 5:21) LAZARUS John 11 Mary and Martha send a message to Jesus but he delays his journey 2 days Disciples didn t understand Lazarus has been dead 4 days by the time he arrives Mary and Martha didn t understand John 11:40- Didn t i tell you that you would see God s glory if you believe? Abraham was told by God to leave all he knew and go to a place where God would lead him- he left without knowing God s plan, he just trusted. Gideon led a tiny army to victory because he followed the directions of God Let God be God and stop demanding that he tells me things he doesn t need to tell me, they are none of my business Trust God Don t spend too much time trying to figure out what isn t done, that you forget all the great stuff that God has done Learn to trust God or you ve going to drive yourself crazy Let go of some stuff that you don t understand, you get rid of the rift between you and God that s blocking the relationship that He wants you to have with him and that you trust God totally and that you believe that even though you don t understand the things that have happened to you that does not in anyway change the character of God He is good he is a God of justice He is a righteous God He is a Holy God Loves you even more than you can begin to know No matter what you have experienced - God has a plan for your life Enjoy all the things that Jesus died to give me Be content and enjoy life even if that means there are things in my life that I don t understand, i will let it go.

A NEW VIEW A NEW VIEW is a collection of eye-health and resource bulletin "blurbs". There will be one each week. Week 1 Do you rub your eyes each morning? Is that okay to do or is it bad for your eyes? If itchiness and redness are the problem, however, antihistamine eye drops may help. Always check with a doctor to make sure that there isn't a bigger issue. (Source: https://www.zocdoc.com/answers/8625/why-do-i-wake-up-rubbing-my-eyes)
