May 31, 2015 The Most Holy Trinity Blessed the people the Lord has chosen to be his own. WELCOME TO ST. ANTHONY PARISH Glory to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; to God who is, who was, and who is to come. The eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had ordered them. When they all saw him, they worshiped, but they doubted. Then Jesus approached and said to them, "All power in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age. CORPUS CHRISTI PROCESSION and POTLUCK All parishioners are invited to a Potluck followed by a Procession with the Eucharist on Sunday, June 7. The Potluck begins at 5:00 pm, followed by a procession with the Eucharist around the block of our church. The procession, known as a Corpus Christi Procession, symbolizes our walk through life, following Jesus and being fed by him. Eucharistic Adoration Instructions For those who have signed up to spend an hour before the Blessed Sacrament beginning June 8, and for any other interested persons, instructions will be given on practical matters concerning Eucharistic Adoration. This will include what to do if the next person on the adoration list does not show up, or if you need a substitute. This instructional meeting will be held on June 7, after the potluck and Corpus Christi procession (approximately 6:30 pm) in the Church. The meeting should last no more than ½ hour. Parish Red Cross Blood Drive You don t need a special reason to give blood. Just give! Wednesday, June 10 2:00-6:00 p.m. Donating blood is a simple thing to do, but it can make a big difference in the lives of others. Every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood. That blood can only come from a volunteer donor, a person like you who makes the choice to donate. There is no substitute for your donation. One donation can help to save the lives of up to three people. Please consider donating the gift of hope and life. Please contact Susan Colyer at 549-9340 to schedule an appointment for the blood drive. Walk-ins also welcome. The blood drive will be held in our Parish Life Center. Be sure to bring your I.D. to your appointment and be sure to hydrate before your appointment. Question for Sunday, May 31 Each week the bulletin will pose a question for discussion or reflection with your family and friends.
