We currently are in need of 2 teachers Nursery/Kindergarten has 2 students. Grade 5 also has 2 students. It was not cooling and the doors were not keeping closed. The diagnosis was that it needed a new compressor and the two doors adjusted to close properly. Air-Rite Refrigeration & Mechanical did the job replacing the defective compressor and adjusting the doors. Cost: $2,091. BTW to have this fridge replaced would cost over $6,000

The 13th Annual Community Peace Concert will be held at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 45 Dalhousie Drive starting at 3:00 pm. UCWLC Toiletry Drive Until December 9th UCWLC will be collecting personal care products to donate to Welcome Home and the Agape Table for Christmas. Fill a purse or cosmetic bag with shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste and toothbrushes for example or pick up individual items and drop them off in the box at the back of the church. On Being a Good Samaritan We may quote scripture and recite platitudes on love and God, but unless we are willing to get involved in the lives of others, we are only blowing smoke. The Samaritan treated and bandaged the wounds. He set the injured man on his donkey. He took him to an inn and cared for him throughout the night. The Samaritan could have said to himself, I give regularly to my church. I donate to the Salvation Army every Christmas. I have done my part. But he didn t. As the scriptures say, he had compassion, and he acted on it. Jesus wants us to do the same thing. Knights Support Vocations Holy Family Knights of Columbus Council #8499 The Council has provided financial support of $500 each to three Seminarians: Alex Pankiw, Andri Andriyeshyn and Jay Korban. The financial support is made possible from the Fr Kristalovich Vocation Fund Brothers in Christ Слава Ісусу Христу! I wanted to write a letter of thanks to you for your very generous gift of $500. This gift will be a tremendous help with some of the expenses I face, as I pursue ordination to the priesthood. Be assured of my prayers for God s blessing upon each of you. Alex Pankiw Andriy Andriyeshyn Jay Korban I am writing this letter to express my gratitude for the generous $500 donation. Currently, I am a full-time, first-year student at Newman Theological College in Edmonton studying towards my Master in Divinity degree. At the moment I am residing at the Holy Spirit Seminary where my seminarian brothers and I partake in various duties in order to prepare us for possible ministry in the future. Our church duties include assisting with the priest during liturgy leading the seminarians in singing during the Divine Liturgy, as well as reading the Epistle. We also have singing and vocal lessons, along with classes with our Rector who teaches us the necessary tasks that a priest must know in his ministry. Once again, I thank you for your prayers and for accepting me for this bursary. This donation will help me greatly in my current and future studies and help to make a reality my vocation within the Church.
