Midland Ministries has now been in existence for 41 years. I have been here since 1990 and have seen many great things happen. We have had thousands of young people come through our program. We have seen countless teenagers come to Christ. Many of our young people are now pastors, youth pastors, missionaries, and Spiritual leaders in their churches. Over the years we have gone through many changes. The ministry started in Hiawatha Kansas and ran for many years out of that location. Over the years we have migrated to St. Joseph as our home base. We still reach out to surrounding communities with our rallies and Bible Quiz program. In 2004 God blessed us with a new facility. We called it the Midland Center. It is located at Hyde Park. It is such a blessing to have this location. We can use the park for many of our weekly activities. The Midland Center is also within walking distance of 4 schools. Located in the basement will be the Hyde-ing Place Youth Center. It will be open every day after school and for special events. There will be a pool table, ping pong, air hockey, fosse ball, and a basketball shoot out. It will also have a snack shop and TV s for watching sporting events and Christian movie nights. We are so grateful to our supporters and the community for their prayers and financial sacrifices to make this youth center a reality. We know that this is a pivotal moment in the life of Midland Ministries. We pray that God will continue to do miracles in the lives of young people. The rally this month was a trip back to Super-C. The weather was gloomy, but that did not dampen the enthusiasm of the young people. There were many activities for them to choose from. We had swimming and Kayaking in the lake. Some played basketball and others gaga ball. The big hit was Nine Square in the air. All these games were intended to draw young people to come and have a great time, and that is what happened Following supper we gathered in the chapel for the Rally. We had a great time of worship and then a message from Pastor Rich Neeley. Rich preached on the feeding of 5000. He challenged the young people to be followers of Jesus and to rely on Him for everything. We are so excited to see what God is going to do in this next school year. We are looking for great miracles to happen in the lives of young people. PLEASE pray that God will use us to reach young people.

The Midland STAT is published by Cookman Printing Co. Call Jaci @ (816) 816-233-2800 for all your printing needs. 424 S. 6th Street; St. Joseph, MO. 64501 Midland Ministries is so excited about our new youth center. It will be complete soon but we still need your help. God provided the original $80,000 budgeted and then we discovered that the foundation problems were more extensive than thought. We are fixing the problems right now but we are short the finances needed to make it happen. To fix the final issues we need an additional $20,000. So far we have raised $6115. God is going to do amazing things with this youth center. It will be a refuge for young people to have fun and fellowship with other believers. We will build relationships with them that will allow us to share Christ. Help us with a donation today. You can give by check or at www.givetomidland.com. Headquarters @ The Midland Center 709 E. Midland Ministries offers weekly events for young people at the Midland Center. On Monday nights we have SQ which is for 6th-12 graders. Our focus is evangelism and discipleship. We offer a crazy game or activity and then a time of worship and a message from God s Word that will help them in their relationship with Christ. On Thursday Nights we have T-Jam. This is for 5th-6th graders. Our focus here is to start with the basic stories from the Bible and help them apply the Word to their lives. We have the same fun activities, and always have a snack followed by time in our youth center. Come and join the fun.

Thank you for reading about MIDLAND MINISTRIES through our STAT & TIME Newsletter We hope and pray that after spending a little time with us, you will discover what God is doing in and through this ministry and you will want to help us serve God. In the days gone by we have seen countless lives changed for the glory of the Lord. We praise God for these wonderful victories! However, we are now living in one of the most challenging times in the history of our world. Young people are facing new and more difficult problems then we have ever seen. Jeremiah 29:11 tells us For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you, and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Our young people need hope and a future. Only Jesus Christ can offer them the kind of hope and future they desperately need. If Jesus chooses to tarry, our work is cut out for us. Perhaps God is speaking to you about getting into the battle. Do not delay! Join today! Young lives depend on your involvement. Catch the vision! Proverbs 29:18. Then I would ask you to consider the following PRAY. We need people to pray for the ongoing work and that God will bless our efforts. GIVE. We need people to give in many ways. Give of your time as a volunteer, give of yourself by telling others about our work, give of your finances to help meet our ongoing needs in this ministry. GO. We need people to serve the Lord in a full-time capacity. Give us a call so we could talk to you about the possibilities. They are endless! Are you up to the challenge? Jon Henderson Chief Executive Officer PS...Please consider a financial gift this month to our youth ministry. On the next page is a faith promise card that you can complete and mail in along with your greatly appreciated gift. May God Bless you for whatever you can do.
