We were blessed by the local Palestinian Christians we encountered (who make up a mere 2% of the population of the Holy Land), learned more than we could have imagined, and bonded in ways we couldn t have expected. The President and CEO of the Sandra Day O Connor Institute, Sarah has held leadership positions in private equality, real estate, multiple charitable organizations and served as Executive Director of National Women s Hall of Fame. MISSIONS OUT IN THE WORLD MEXICO MEDICAL MISSION HABITAT FOR HUMANITY SATURDAY, MAY 5, 6:30AM1PM TEMPE, AZ, We will be building a house for the Shire family. Youth Mission Trip to Los Angeles July 22-28 For more info, Contact Kate Fimbres kate@saintbarnabas.org JULY 15-20, 2018 The annual Medical Mission to Ensenada, Mexico, 75 miles south of San Diego, will host four free clinic days in areas around Ensenada. Translators, personnel from all areas of the medical field, and non-medical but caring individuals are welcome to join the mission team. WHAT WE NEED: Please donate toothbrushes and large sizes of toothpaste and soap in their original containers for the 1,300 impoverished people with whom we will be working. Marked collection boxes will be in Hutton Hall, the church office, and the chapel starting Sunday, April 8. You can still donate to an Arizona charity (including many Saint Barnabas mission partners) and reduce your 2017 Arizona tax bill. Taxpayers have until April 17, 2018, to take advantage of the state s Charitable Tax Credit, applying it to their 2017 state tax bill. The credit can cut your final tax bill by $1 for each $1 donated, up to $400 for individuals and $800 for couples. Qualifying partners include Bridging AZ Furniture Bank, the Challenge Foundation, Family Promise and Habitat for Humanity. COMMUNITY OF HOPE COMMISSIONING On March 18, we commissioned 12 new lay chaplains of the Community of Hope at Saint Barnabas. They help us fulfill our mission that No One Suffers Alone.
