Currently, the weekly numbers we report are heavily skewed by the bi-weekly electronic deposits. Thus, we have decided to publish the monthly average at the end of the month since it will be a better indicator of actual offertory contributions and where we stand in relation to budgeted offertory projections. If you have any questions, please feel free to talk to me. - Fr. Jeremy & Finance Council TITHE: CATHOLIC CAMPAIGN FOR HUMAN DEVELOPMENT In the United States, one in six people lives in poverty. With this collection, you support programs that address the causes of poverty and provide a sustainable future for those who are struggling across the country. In addition, 25 percent of funds collected remains in our diocese to fund local anti-poverty projects. This Thursday, November 22nd, we will have a Mass of Thanksgiving at 10am. Please join us! Bishop Thomas has asked that the traditional St. Michael prayer be said more frequently in our parishes to combat intentionally the evil of the sexual abuse scandal in the Church. While we will not add this prayer to the Mass as will be the practice in some parishes, it will be included in the bulletin for a number of months for individual use. I certainly encourage all of us to pray for healing and purification in our Church - Fr. Jeremy St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle; be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do you, O prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan and the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls. Amen ** PLEASE NOTE ** In celebration of Thanksgiving, there will be no 12:05 p.m. Mass Friday, November 23rd.
