Words Part 3 The first-time words are introduced to us in the Bible is when we see God creating the heavens and the earth. Words were not first and foremost given to us for communication but for creation. Learn to make words work for you instead of against you. WORDS make us or break us. WORDS heal us or make us sick. According to the Bible, WORDS destroy us or make us full of life, happiness, and health. Our WORDS - the WORDS we spoke yesterday-made life what it is today. These are the spiritual laws of words. We live in a word-created, word-upheld, word-dominated environment. No one can change that. We can, however, change the words under which we live. No one has a choice of whether or not he lives by words, but he has the choice of what words he lives by. WORDS do three things to you and for you: 1. The WORDS you speak identify you. 2. The WORDS you speak set the boundaries of your life. 3. The WORDS you speak affect your spirit (your inward man). If you want to locate yourself, just listen to the WORDS you speak. You will never realize or go beyond your words. Your words are either limiting and restricting you or they are releasing you to go up higher.
Genesis 1:26 NKJV Then God said, Let Us make man in Our image In the original Hebrew text, it says, Let us make man just like Us, A speaking spirit. You are a speaking spirit. You are the prophet of your own life. You might be facing dry situations, seemingly impossible situations or actual dead situations. But you are the prophet of your own life and you can prophesy to those dry and dead things and it will live again. Ezekiel 37:1-14 NKJV Prophesy to your circumstances and tell it how it shall be. Prophecy to those seemingly impossible situations and say, with God all things are possible. And because God gives life to the dead, prophecy to those dead situations and say you shall live. You are the prophet of your own life. If you and I start changing the way we think, we will start changing the way we believe and start changing the way we speak. Romans 12:2 NKJV And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind... Most of us read that Scripture and think it says, Don t do a lot of things that people in the world do. But that s not what it says because we eat like them, we sleep like them, we drive like them. It means don t think like them. The world is programmed to think negatively, so don t think and behave like them. Romans 12:2 NLT Don t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way we think. So for us, as people of God, our language (our body of words) should always be the language of faith, the language of love, the language of hope and the language of victory. 2
The world is programmed negatively so they think sickness. They think fear. They think doubt. They think defeat. They think failure. The world without God is in spiritual death. They are programmed to death instead of life. But you and I must get our minds off our problems and think like God. Get your mind renewed with the Word of God and think in line with God s Word. Talk in line with God s Word and believe in line with God s Word. Fear and Doubt If somebody is frightened, they will normally say, That just scares me to death. I m just so scared. But never say that. The real you, your spirit is never scared. If you are tempted to be fearful and scared, speak to that spirit and say, Fear, I resist you in Jesus Name! I refuse to fear. If doubt comes, speak to it and say, Doubt, I resist you in Jesus Name! I refuse to doubt. Sickness Never talk sickness. We don t believe in sickness. We talk health. Proverbs 12:18 NKJV There is one who speaks like the piercings of a sword, But the tongue of the wise promotes health. The tongue of the wise promotes health. The Bible does not say, The tongue of the wise is sickness. It says, The tongue of the wise is HEALTH. So talk health. We believe in healing. We believe in health. We never talk sickness. We never talk disease. Sickness is not of God. It doesn t come from heaven. There s no sickness up there; it s of this world. There won t be any sickness in heaven. We talk health and healing and wholeness over our bodies. Isaiah 53:4-5 NKJV Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed. Say, I am the healed of the Lord 3
I am the blessed of the Lord Failure We never talk failure. We don t believe in failure. We believe in success. We never talk defeat. We don t believe in defeat. We believe in winning. 2 Corinthians 2:14 NKJV Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ Never talk about what the devil has done. We are not interested in his works. Talk about the works of God and what He is doing. Don t talk about the devil s power, because he is not so powerful as God. Brother K.E. Hagin talks about a preacher on TV, who spent his whole time talking about what the devil s doing. He thought to Himself, Dear Lord, I m going to turn that off! And he turned it off right in the middle of his exposé of ignorance. He says, the longer the preacher talked, the worse he felt. The preacher was bragging on the devil all the time. If you listen to some Christians speak, you will think that God s gone out of business-lost all His power-and we will have to go through life always sick and afflicted, with no victory and no success. But God is still on the throne, He is doing well and He is coming back for a Victorious Church. Jesus said in Matthew 28:20, I am with you always. I believe if He is with me, that s success. Romans 8:31 NKJV What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us. Praise God, if God is for us, what difference does it make who s against us. What difference does it make as to what the devil is doing out in the world? God is for us, God is with us and God is on our side. 1 John 4:4 NKJV You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. 4
What do you care what you face if the GREATER ONE is in you? This should always be our winning attitude With the GREATER ONE in me, I will make it over you. If I don t make it over you, I will make it around you. If I don t make it around you, I will make it under you. If I don t make it under you, I will make it through you But I am definitely going over to the other side because the GREATER ONE is in me. Worry and discouragement You and I should never worry. We have all been tempted to worry but we should not enter into the sin of worry. Never talk discouragement. Never talk worry. Never talk defeat. What do people worry about? They worry about circumstances, they worry about tomorrow and they worry about the things they face. But Jesus said in Matthew 6:25 NKJV Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on Look at what God said and take note of you what you must be saying! Hebrews 13:5-6 NKJV For He Himself has said, I will never leave you nor forsake you. So we may boldly say: The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?
